The Supreme Court has given a new verdict on the Aravali mining case on Monday (December 29, 2025). The court has put a stay on its previous decision and has given instructions to form a new committee to study this matter. The Congress Party welcomed this decision of the Supreme Court and said that the court has corrected its mistake. Along with this, Congress has also demanded the resignation of Union Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav.

Court has corrected its mistake: Jairam Ramesh

National General Secretary of Congress and former Union Environment Minister Jairam Ramesh said on Monday (December 29, 2025) that I salute the Supreme Court that they have taken cognizance of this matter and given this decision. The Supreme Court has corrected its mistake. He said that I demand the resignation of Union Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav.

Jairam Ramesh said, ‘164 mining leases were given on the Aravalli hills. The work of selling the hill was going on. How was the definition given on the Aravalli mountain range that only hills higher than 90 meters should be considered Aravalli hills? He said that now the export committee has been formed, I hope that there will be a proper review.

Congress leader’s taunt on BJP

At the same time, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has also targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) regarding the Supreme Court’s decision. He said that Bharatiya Janata Party has a government of four engines. Notices have also been given to them in four states (Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan and Gujarat). He said that our movement will continue.

The court put a stay on its previous order

In fact, on Monday (December 29, 2025), the Supreme Court gave a new decision regarding the definition of Aravalli mountain ranges and the mining issue. In this decision, the court has currently put on hold its decision given last month on November 20, 2025. Apart from this, the court has also directed to form a new high level committee of experts to study in depth the entire matter related to the Aravali mountains.

Union Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav welcomed this decision of the Supreme Court. He said that the government is fully committed to the protection of the Aravalli hills and there is a complete ban on new mining leases or renewal of old leases in the Aravalli range.

The Congress Party on Saturday (November 8, 2025) has accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of insulting the culture of Bihar and the cultural pride of Mithila. Actually, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had gone to address an election rally on Saturday (8 November). Regarding his visit to Sitamarhi, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said that the BJP government itself had said that there is no historical evidence of Mata Sita’s birth in Sitamarhi district of Bihar. He has also demanded an apology from PM Modi.

Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh shared a post on social media platform X on Saturday (November 8, 2025). In the post, Jairam Ramesh said, ‘On April 12, 2017, the BJP government had said in the Rajya Sabha that there is no historical evidence of the birth of Mother Sita in Sitamarhi, Bihar. This answer was given by the Ministry of Culture of the Government of India. He alleged that this statement is a direct insult to the faith of Bihar, identity and cultural pride of Mithila.

He said, ‘The question to the Prime Minister is that when your own government insulted the faith of Bihar in the Parliament, will you apologize publicly before coming to the holy land of Sitamarhi today? Why are you not interested in preserving and developing the religious places of Bihar?

Only fake promises made in the name of development of Bihar- Jairam

Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has only made fake promises and cheated the state in the name of development of Bihar. He also claimed that this time the people of Bihar are voting to remove the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) from power.

The Congress leader said, ‘Even after 20 years of NDA rule, when the Prime Minister comes to the soil of Bihar, he remembers only Katta and Goli for the Biharis, but in the name of development of Bihar, he has a lot of fake promises and deception.’ He said, ‘Today the Prime Minister is in Sitamarhi and Bettiah. There are direct questions to him regarding the discrimination and neglect faced by Bihar.

This time the winter session of Parliament will run from December 1 to December 19. President Draupadi Murmu has approved the proposal of the Central Government. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju shared this information on social media platform ‘X’. He said that this session will provide an opportunity for constructive and meaningful discussions and this will further strengthen democracy.

Kiren Rijiju said- the session will fulfill the expectations of the public
Rijiju wrote in his post that the President has given permission to convene the winter session of Parliament from December 1 to December 19, 2025, which will depend on the exigencies of parliamentary work. He described it as a creative and meaningful session, which will try to live up to the expectations of the public.

Commotion and low productivity in monsoon session
The monsoon session, which began on July 21, ended on August 21, a day before its scheduled time. This session was disrupted due to continuous opposition and repeated uproar. The opposition was demanding discussion on the Special Summary Revision (SIR) of the voter list in Bihar, due to which the proceedings had to be postponed several times.

How was the functioning of the Lok Sabha?
The productivity of Lok Sabha in the monsoon session was around 31 percent, while the productivity of Rajya Sabha was recorded at around 39 percent. A total of fourteen bills were introduced in the Lok Sabha in this session. Of these, twelve bills were passed by the Lok Sabha, while the Rajya Sabha approved fifteen bills. A total of fifteen bills were approved by both the houses and one bill was withdrawn from the Lok Sabha.

During the session, a special discussion was also held on India’s successful anti-terrorism operation ‘Operation Sindoor’. This discussion was held in the Lok Sabha on 28 and 29 July and in the Rajya Sabha on 29 and 30 July. This operation was done in response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam.

Congress asked- Why was the session kept so short?
Congress leader Jairam Ramesh expressed his displeasure over the dates of the winter session. He said that normally this session starts between 20th to 23rd November and lasts for 3 to 4 weeks, but this time it has been kept for only 15 days starting from 1st December. Jairam Ramesh raised the question as to what the government is trying to avoid.

He asked whether the session has been shortened due to the increasing pollution of Delhi, or does the government not have any bill or issue to discuss? He also hinted whether this move is a sign that Lok Sabha elections may be announced soon. According to him, this is the first time that the government seems to be trying to dispose of the session so quickly.

Hitting back at the National Democratic Alliance (NDA)’s allegations of ‘jungle raj’ under the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) rule in Bihar, the Congress on Sunday (November 02, 2025) tried to corner Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on the issue of question paper leak, ‘migration’ of families in search of employment and alleged increase in heinous crimes in the state.

Congress general secretary (communications) Jairam Ramesh hit out at the ruling coalition, citing increase in criminal incidents in the state and asked the Prime Minister if this is the so-called Mangal Raj of his ‘trouble engine government’? The NDA is warning voters in Bihar that the Grand Alliance’s return to power will bring back the era of jungle raj that prevailed during the previous RJD regime, where criminals operated without fear of punishment.

Congress leader asked questions to BJP

Ramesh said in a post on ‘X’ that on the same streets of Patna where youth were lathicharged almost every month demanding jobs and fair recruitment exams, the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister are holding road shows for votes. So today we want to ask him three direct questions. Under your patronage, dozens of question paper leaks and recruitment-entrance examination scams took place in Bihar, due to which the future of lakhs of youth was ruined.

When this was not enough, the business of selling fake degrees also began to flourish, Ramesh alleged. He asked, ‘Why was the hard work and future of lakhs of youth of Bihar compromised?’

‘Why is the condition of Bihar bad even after 20 years?’

The Congress leader said, ‘According to a caste-based survey conducted in Bihar, 64 percent of the population i.e. about nine crore people still live on just Rs 67 per day. Why is the condition of Bihar so bad even after 20 years of your government?

He took a dig at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led NDA’s slogan of ‘double engine government’, under which it is claimed that having an NDA government at both the Center and the state ensures rapid development. Ramesh alleged that due to the policies of the Trouble Engine government, 3.18 crore people were forced to leave the state in search of employment. He asked the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister whether they would take responsibility for the migration of these families.

‘8 major crime incidents in 7 days in Bihar’

The Congress leader said, ‘CAG (Comptroller and Auditor General) has exposed a scam of Rs 70,000 crore in 10 departments of Bihar. Like Maharashtra, will these scams in Bihar also be considered a sign of ‘acche din’? Please comment on this.

He said, ‘When you see the headlines of your road show in Bihar, please also pay attention to the headlines of the heinous crimes that took place in the state last week.’ Ramesh said that in just seven days, eight major incidents of murder and shooting took place in Bihar.

Citing National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) data, Ramesh said that on an average eight murders, 33 kidnappings and 133 heinous crimes take place in Bihar every day. He said, ‘Prime Minister, is this the so-called ‘Mangal Raj’ of your ‘Trouble Engine’ government?

The phone conversation between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump on the occasion of Diwali has now taken a political color. Both the leaders confirmed this conversation, while Congress leader and party general secretary Jairam Ramesh has given a sharp reaction on this. Modi had written on

Jairam Ramesh wrote in his post that the Prime Minister has finally publicly admitted that President Trump called him and both talked. But the Prime Minister has simply said that the US President wished Diwali. Where Modi hides it, Trump exposes it. He alleged that the US President has issued a statement on his behalf saying that India has assured to stop importing oil from Russia. This is the fourth time in the last six days that President Trump has announced India’s policy.

Trump’s statement and questions on Russian oil imports
Recently, during a conversation with journalists in Washington, Trump had told that he had talked to PM Modi on topics like trade and purchase of crude oil from Russia. Trump had said that he is confident that India will now reduce or stop oil imports from Russia, so that America’s sanctions policy remains respected. Whereas PM Modi had only said in his post that thanks for President Trump’s call and Diwali wishes.

Congress leader Jairam Ramesh on Tuesday (October 21) questioned the Central Government as to why US President Donald Trump is repeatedly saying that he has talked to Prime Minister Narendra Modi about buying oil from Russia.

Jairam Ramesh said that Trump has repeated this claim three times in the last five days and this number may increase as he meets Russian President Vladimir Putin in Budapest this week. He said that Trump is saying that he spoke to Modi and India promised to stop buying oil from Russia, while the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has rejected this.

Trump warned India

Trump had also said on Monday that if India continues to buy oil from Russia, heavy tariffs will continue to be imposed on it. He told the media, “I spoke to Prime Minister Modi and he said that he will not buy Russian oil. But if he says so, he will continue to buy, then he will continue to pay heavy tariffs.”

Foreign Ministry had already refused the phone call

The Ministry of External Affairs had already clarified that there was no recent phone call between Modi and Trump on October 15. MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said the two leaders had spoken over phone only on October 9, in which Modi congratulated Trump on the success of the Gaza peace plan and reviewed trade talks. Jaiswal also said that India’s stance on energy policy is based on national interests and safety of citizens.

Trump’s statement is being seen in the context of pressure from Western countries to reduce energy relations with Russia after the Ukraine crisis. India has said that its energy purchases are made keeping in mind the national interest and the safety of Indian consumers.

US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday (October 15, 2025) that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has personally assured him that his country will now stop buying oil from Russia. The opposition is attacking the Modi government regarding this statement of Trump. Congress has raised many questions.

Talking to news agency ANI, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said about Trump’s statement that Prime Minister Modi is completely scared of Trump. PM Modi praises Trump from here but from there Trump imposes tariffs on India.

‘Under whose pressure is Modi ji keeping silence?’
Jairam Ramesh said that Trump said yesterday that Prime Minister Modi has assured him that India will no longer import oil from Russia. It appears that Prime Minister Modi has handed over many of his important decisions to America. Under whose pressure is Modi ji keeping silence?

Modi government surrounded
The Congress leader, while attacking the Modi government regarding the ceasefire between India and Pakistan, said that the ceasefire was done under the pressure of Trump, whereas Trump has claimed 51 times in 5 different countries that he intervened by using tariffs and trade as a weapon of pressure and forced India to stop Operation Sindoor. Still our Prime Minister remained silent.

what did donald trump say
Donald Trump said that India will no longer buy oil from Russia. This is a big step. Now we are going to get the same work done from China also. Let us tell you that after China, India is the second largest buyer of Russian oil, that is why Donald Trump had increased the tariff on India in August. While talking to reporters, Trump said that India cannot stop the shipment immediately, he said that this is a big process, but this process will be completed soon.

The news of Russia supplying the RD-93MA engine to Pakistan for JF-17 Thunder Block-III fighter aircraft has intensified the political stir in India. Congress and BJP have come face to face on this issue and there is sharp rhetoric between the two parties.

Congress accused

Congress spokesperson Jairam Ramesh attacked the central government and said that if Russia, who was once the most trusted strategic partner in India, is now giving advanced engine to Pakistan, then it is the failure of the Modi government’s foreign policy. He said, “The Modi government should clarify that Russia, which has been our traditional ally, is now providing technical help to Pakistan. This engine will be installed in JF-17 Block-III aircraft. The advanced version of the same model which used PL-15 missiles against India during Operation Sindoor.”

Jairam Ramesh also added that India still continues to talk about the S-400 missile system and SU-57 Stealth Fighter from Russia, which shows the government’s image-based diplomacy failure.

Did BJP spokesperson Amit Malviya say?

BJP spokesperson Amit Malviya described the allegations of the Congress as “false and misleading”. He said that Russia has clearly rejected all such claims. In his X (East Twitter) post, Malaviya wrote, “Russia has denied the news of the engine supply to Pakistan. Jairam Ramesh has formed the basis of a website report that is known to spread the pro-Pakistan propaganda. Neither official confirmation, no reliable source, just one more news.” He further said that the Congress seems to be standing in favor of the enemy instead of the national interest by spreading such rumors repeatedly and is part of the “Information War”.

At present, the engine supply to Pakistan has not been confirmed by Russia any official means. But this entire controversy has definitely given rise to a new debate on India’s foreign policy and relations with Russia.

Jairam Ramesh, the head of the IT department of the Congress, has targeted the Government of India on Sunday (September 21, 2025) over Palestine. Jairam Ramesh said that India’s policy regarding Palestine has been shameful for the last 20 months.

Actually, Australia, Canada and Britain have recognized Palestine as an independent nation. On this, Congress MP Jairam Ramesh posted a post on social media platform X on Sunday (September 21, 2025).

What did Congress MP say about Palestine,

The Congress leader said in the post, ‘Australia, Canada and Britain have just recognized Palestine as an independent nation. With this, more countries are expected to do so soon.

He said, ‘India had given formal recognition as a nation on November 18, 1988 as a nation. But for the last 20 months, India’s policy regarding Palestine has been shameful and it is a symbol of moral cowardice.

India Had Formally recognized Palestinian StateHood Way Back on Nov 18, 1988.

But India’s policy in registered to Palestine – Especially for the Past Twenty Months -…

PM Modi tightened over Donald Trump

At the same time, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh had taken a dig at PM Modi on Sunday (September 21, 2025) about Donald Trump’s statement in another post. Ramesh said, ‘The Prime Minister is preparing to address the nation, while his good friend in Washington DC has once again snatched his headlines and claimed for the 42nd time that he stopped Operation Sindoor by taking advantage of the growing business with America. President Trump has made this claim not only in the US but also in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Britain.

He said, ‘Will the Prime Minister react to these claims and will speak on the deteriorating relationship of Indo-US? Will they solve the concerns of millions of Indian H1B holders? Will they give any trust to crores of farmers and laborers whose livelihood is in danger due to tariffs imposed by their friend? Or they will repeat the new GST rates that we all know – which were prepared in frustration and which are being implemented since yesterday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Manipur on Saturday, September 13. Chief Minister Secretary Puneet Kumar Goyal told in Imphal that this tour will open the way for peace, generality and development in the state. This visit of Prime Minister Modi is happening at a time when he is constantly criticizing the opposition for not going to Manipur. Violence erupted in Manipur two years ago between Kuki and Maetai community. More than 260 people lost their lives in this violent quarrel and thousands of people were displaced.

PM Modi will visit Manipur and Mizoram. He will inaugurate the Bairabi-Giranrang railway line project in Mizoram. They will lay the foundation of development projects worth Rs 7,300 crore from Peace Ground (where Cookie community is high) in Churachandpur in Manipur. At the same time, the Prime Minister will inaugurate infrastructure projects worth Rs 1,200 crore in Maetai -dominated Imphal.

Tight security arrangements
Giving information about Prime Minister Modi’s programs, the Manipur government has installed large billboards in Churachandpur Peace Ground and Kangla Fort Imphal. Special instructions have been issued to the public not to bring things like keys, pens, water bottles, bags, handkerchiefs, umbrellas, lighters, matches.

Apart from this, it has also been advised not to bring children (under 12 years of age) and sick persons to the venue. Air guns in Churachandpur district were already banned. The security system in Imphal and Churachandpur has been completely tightened.

Opposition’s response
Congress MP and former party president Rahul Gandhi welcomed PM Modi’s visit to Manipur. He said, “The problem of Manipur has been going on for a long time, it is good that they are going now.” At the same time, Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh targeted the preparations for Modi’s visit. He said that this tour will be only three hours and this will insult the people of Manipur. Jairam Ramesh wrote in the tweet, “This tour shows the lack of sensitivity of the Prime Minister towards the people of Manipur.”
