During the monsoon session, a debate on Parliament today (Monday, 29 July) will begin a debate on the first -range terrorist attack and Operation Sindoor. Both the government and the opposition are preparing to take off their top leaders, while many political signs and conflicts have already become a topic of discussion before the debate. Former Home Minister and Congress leader P. Chidambaram has raised serious questions on the functioning of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in an interview to ‘The Quint’.

He said, “They (NIA) are not ready to explain what they have done in these weeks. Have they identified the terrorists? Or where they came from where they came from? Do they know, they are terrorists of the country. Why are you assuming that they came from Pakistan? There is no evidence of this.”

Shashi Tharoor’s silence again in discussion

According to Congress sources, Shashi Tharoor will probably not take part in today’s debate. He has not given any formal information about speaking to the CPP office of the party so far. Significantly, Tharoor recently supported the government’s stand on the India-Pakistan issue in the US and other countries, which was considered different from the official line of the Congress. This also revealed reports of sourness between him and the party.

Who will keep the side on behalf of the government?

Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Foreign Minister S.K. Jaishankar will be a prominent speaker from the government. If sources are to be believed, Prime Minister Narendra Modi can also interfere in this discussion.

Who will argue from the opposition?

If the president is allowed, then Rahul Gandhi can start a debate on behalf of the opposition. However, he has also started the debate several times before to his colleagues, as during the motion of no confidence in 2023.

What will be the issue of debate?

The focus of this 16 -hour long debate will be on the government’s response to the Pahalgam attack on 22 April and the transparency of operation vermilion. 26 citizens were killed in this attack. The opposition has accused the government of intelligence failure and has also asked why India is not getting international support, especially when former US President Donald Trump claimed arbitration between Indo-Pak, which has been rejected by the Government of India.

Operation Sindoor: 26 innocent tourists were killed in the barbaric terror attack on 22 April in Pahalgam. Only after this attack, India started writing the script of Operation Sindoor. The Government of India informed the international community about the dangers of Pakistan sponsored terrorism and the upcoming action.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh contacted dozens of global leaders before Operation Sindoor on May 7. This strategy was towards providing diplomatic validity and support to India’s military action. First Prime Minister Modi called US President Trump on 22 April. That day he was with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia. However, he canceled the tour in the middle and returned to the country. A day later, on 23 April, the Prime Minister called the Prime Minister of Australia, the Prime Minister of Nepal, the Prime Minister of Mauritius, the US Vice President.

Prime Minister Modi spoke to PM of many countries
Prime Minister Modi spoke to the Prime Minister of Israel, Japan and Italy on 24 April. During this, the PM gave information about the attack by talking to the President of France and Egypt, including the king of Jordan. On April 24, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar spoke to the French Finance Minister. On 25 April, Prime Minister Modi spoke to the Prime Minister of Netherlands and the UK. Apart from this, he also discussed with the President of Sri Lanka. On 26 April, S Jayanshkar spoke to the Finance Minister of Egypt and on the same day PM Modi called the UAE and the President of Iran.

Attack on the night of 7 May
On 27 April, S Jaishankar informed the UK Finance Minister about the Pahalgam terror attack. On May 1, the Foreign Minister called the Foreign Minister of South Korea and informed them about the incident. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh called US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on 1 May. On May 5, the Prime Minister spoke to his best friend Russia President Vladimir Putin, then Putin said to help India all possible and said that India has the right to self -defense. 1 day later, on May 6, Modi spoke to the PM of Qatar and the terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pok were attacked at midnight.
