Jamaat-e-Islami Hind President Syed Saadatullah Hussaini has strongly condemned the growing massacre and human crisis in Gaza. Hussaini urged the Government of India, world powers and rational citizens from all over the world to stand up against harassment and take immediate action to stop the Israeli’s ongoing attack.

In a statement issued to the media, the Jamaat president said, ‘More than 20.1 lakhs, including about 1.1 million children, are stuck in Palestinian Gaza due to continuous siege and bombing. Since the ceasefire broke on 18 March 2025, Israel has increased its military aggression.

Full blockage on essential items
He further said that apart from this, there is complete blockade on help and essential items. The people of Gaza are dying of hunger and thirst, their houses are collapsing and their voices have been suppressed. The situation is very serious. The Israeli government is planning complete destruction of the people of Gaza and the world should take action from now on to stop this near destruction.

Hussain said that 90% of Gaza’s medical facilities have either been destroyed or are not working. Only a few nutrition centers are running throughout the Gaza Strip, while thousands of tonnes of aid materials, including food and medicines, have been stuck on the boundary posts for months. Diseases like diarrhea, hepatitis and respiratory infection are spreading rapidly due to lack of cleanliness and clean water availability.

He further said that according to UNICEF reports, 6,60,000 children are unable to go to school and more than 17,000 children are alone or orphans. If the siege is not removed, there is a possibility of a large famine by September 2025. Hussaini called upon the international community to take decisive action and said that this is an examination for the global system.

He said that we call on all countries to break military and economic relations with Israel, to follow the ICC arrest warrant for Netanyahu and support the United Nations General Assembly to end illegal occupation.

Eliminate dual criteria rich countries

Hussain said that in the case of Israeli, double standards of the United States -led rich and powerful nations should end. Now the time has come for the US and its allies only move beyond the showy things and start following the great principles of peace and justice that they claim.

India should also take initiative

Syed Hussaini urged the Government of India to fulfill his historical and moral responsibility by adopting a firm and theoretical attitude. India has always supported Palestine’s equitable side. In this important moment, we should raise our voice more vigorously and clearly than before. The government should publicly condemn Israel’s action.

All military and strategic partnerships with him should be suspended and support the international initiative to justify the attackers. Our voice should be directed not by political calculations, but by our constitutional values and civilized ethos. He reiterated, ‘There is no neutral diplomacy in front of the massacre, it is a reasonable opportunity to stand on the right side of history.’

Appeal to ordinary citizens

Calling the citizens of India, Hussaini appealed for active participation in peaceful resistance. He said, we urge our fellow citizens to raise their voice, boycott Israeli products and companies involved in this genocide and oppose the misinformation being spread about Palestinian resistance. At the same time, we should use every platform such as social media, public functions and personal conversations to share the truth about Gaza and stand with the oppressed.

Jamaat e islami hind on ran israel conflict: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind has sought action against Israel, condemning the attack on sensitive nuclear hideouts in Iran and residential areas in Iran. Jamaat-e-Islami Hind said that he strongly condemns military attacks on Iran without provocation started by Israel.

This dangerous military aggression can instigate a disastrous regional conflict and potentially turn into a global crisis. The world cannot risk another war in West Asia. The silence and passive collusion of powerful nations is deeply disturbed.

‘Iran’s nuclear program for peace’

Referring to the rationalism given by the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about Iran’s nuclear ability, Syed Sadatullah Hussaini said that these unilateral allegations are neither new nor verified. It has been repeatedly said by Iran that its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes. Hussaini further stated that international institutions such as IAEA, should be an intermediary, not a country like Israel who are ally in gross genocide and war crimes, who are playing the role of judge, jury and death penalty.

‘Israel’s accountability should decide international community’

Hussaini said on the death of top military officials and scientists killed in an attack by Israel, that it is directly murder and also a severe violation of human rights and international norms. We request the United Nations and international community to handle the situation and take immediate steps to make Israel accountable. Along with this, Jamaat -e -Islamic Hinds demand immediate global intervention and sanctions against Israel and at the same time we would also like to say to the international community that if they fail to take action, then it will set a dangerous example for autocracy and chaos in international relations.

India Pakistan Ceasefire News: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind president Syed Saadatullah Hussaini has welcomed the announcement of ceasefire between India and Pakistan. In a statement released on Sunday, the Jamaat president said, ‘We welcome the announcement of the ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan. It is a positive and extremely essential progress that presents a ray of hope for peace and stability in the region. We express my heartfelt gratitude to all those individuals, civil society groups and national and international organizations, who advocated continuous peace, stress and restraint during increasing stress. His voices in a joyful atmosphere kept giving powerful reminders of the importance of maintaining human dignity and preserving life.

Syed Saadatullah further said, ‘We also express our heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost our lives in the struggle. We urge the Government of India to provide proper compensation to the families of the deceased and compensate the livelihood and property of people living in citizens and communities – especially the border areas. Since this ceasefire starts a new chapter, we believe that permanent peace can only be ensured through efforts to communicate dialogue and diplomacy. ‘

Jamaat-e-Islami Hind made a big statement

The statement further said, ‘Jamaat-e-Islami Hind reiterates its commitment to peace, justice and harmony and urges the two countries to further the ceasefire to make permanent stability, mutual respect and cooperation possible in the region, and take concrete steps to make the region completely free from terrorism.’

Recently, the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, over the increasing tension between India and Pakistan, had said that both countries are working to remove poverty and lack and their people are working for prosperity and progress and both are nuclear powers. In such a situation, war and unrest are not in anyone’s interest and it will cause the most damage to the poor population of both countries. He had said that we hope that the political and military leadership of the two countries will now take fast and concrete steps towards permanent peace.

Plea against waqf law: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind has filed a petition before the Supreme Court of India (Supreme Court), which has challenged the constitutional validity of the Waqf (Amendment) Act, 2025. Jamaat Vice President Professor Salim Engineer, Maulana Shafi Madni and Inam Ur Rehman as well as other senior officials of Jamaat have raised serious concern over the new law in the Union of India (defendant).

The petition states that these amendments violate fundamental rights and fragment the religious, charitable and community-oriented character of Waqfs in the country. The petition has demanded that the amendments have been unconstitutional by violating Articles 14, 15, 16, 25, 26 and 300 (A) of the Indian Constitution.

Major episodes raised in the petition:

1. Violation of fundamental rights

The amended Act brings changes in the definition and structure of Waqf and imposes an improper restriction on who can create Waqf and how it can be managed. For example, now, according to the law, the donor must prove that he has followed Islam for at least five years – it is a vague and arbitrary expectation, which is not based on Islamic law and can deprive women, converted people and many real donors from using their religious freedom. This is directly a violation of Articles 25 and 15, which guarantee security against religious freedom and discrimination.

2. Waqf board erosion

The new law dissolves the elected Waqf boards and appoints officials appointed by the government in their place, including officers who do not have the expected knowledge of non-Muslim and Islamic jurisdiction. It basically violates the right to manage its religious institutions of the provided community of Article 26. In addition, the amendment has removed the need to be a Muslim CEO of the board, which will weaken communal representation.

3. Inappropriate acquisition of Waqf properties

Section 3D of the Act has been introduced to declare all the Waqf properties void under a hurry and arbitrary ASI protected monuments, irrespective of their historical religious significance. This provision basically canceled the ancient monument and archaeological site related to Waqf properties and Section 6 of the Archaeological Site, 1958, as well as a discriminatory structure by which only Muslim religious monuments have taken away their religious form and management from Muslim religious monuments. In addition, this law enables the encroachers to claim adverse occupation of the Waqf land by applying with the retrospective impact under the Border Act, 1963, which threatens more damage to Muslim charitable property.

4. Failure of community counseling

Despite the broad and intensive effective nature of amendments, they were passed in a hurry, and postponing procedural rules and changes such as sections 3D and 3E were added to the last time during parliamentary proceedings. The important thing is that in addition to other people of the community, the officials of Jamaat had raised serious objections before the Joint Parliamentary Committee, ignored in the final Act. This gross neglect is a violation of democratic principles and the spirit of participating governance.

Additional legal argument:

The Act invalid the concept of Waqf by the user – which is a judicial accepted principle, which has also been confirmed in the Ram Janmabhoomi -Babri Masjid decision – which ends the historical Waqf without written deeds or documents. This considers government revenue records (records of rights) as a decisive evidence of ownership, while the judicial example believes that such entries do not determine ownership, especially in the case of Waqf properties.

Citing the decisions of Lal Shah Baba Dargah, Sheikh Yusuf Chawla and Ramjas Foundation, the argument has been argued that the evaluation of the Dharma should be done in terms of community use and historical continuity, not only on the basis of government records.

Jamaat-e-Islami Hind insists that Waqf is an integral part of Islamic faith and Indian heritage which is deeply associated with charity, education and social welfare. Any attempt to weaken its religious and community character is not only unconstitutional, but also morally unjust. The Jamaat calls for civil society, legal experts and committed citizens to pluralism and justice to raise their voice against arbitrarily eliminating Waqf security and stands in solidarity with this constitutional challenge.
