At least 26 people were injured in a clash between Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and Jamaat-e-Islami workers on Monday (February 9, 2026) in Baufal Upazila of Patuakhali district of Bangladesh. Three women are also among the injured.

According to the report of ‘The Daily Star’, local people and eyewitnesses told about the incident that on Monday (February 9) at around 12.30 pm, Jamaat women workers were campaigning in support of party candidate Shafiqul Islam Masood from Patuakhali-2 seat in Bhandaria market.
