After independence, communal thinking got a chance and an atmosphere was created against Muslims. Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind first came out against these forces. He said, ‘Muslims have been living in India for more than a thousand years. From Kerala to Kashmir, there are Hindus and Muslims in every fraternity. Our history is no less than anyone. The growth of this country is possible only when mutual brotherhood and mail remain.
