US Vice President JD Vance on Friday rejected reports that Iran would be given a huge sum of money for signing the peace deal between Washington and Tehran. He has called such claims as fake information.

In a post on Twitter, Vance said the deal, aimed at reopening Hormuz and addressing concerns over Iran’s nuclear program, does not involve any cash payments or release of funds. He stressed that the proposed arrangement has been designed in such a way that the security interests of America and its allies can be given priority.

He said that I am seeing a lot of misinformation about the possible agreement regarding the US-Iran deal. First of all, the Iranians are not receiving any cash nor are any funds being released just for signing the agreement or attending any meeting. He further said that this agreement has been designed in such a way that America’s concerns are given priority and if the Islamic Republic of Iran fulfills its responsibilities, then it and the entire region will benefit economically. This agreement has the potential to change the picture of the entire region and maintain peace for a long time.

Let us tell you that this news has come after the report of Iran’s Mehr News Agency, in which a source close to Iran’s negotiating team was quoted as saying that with the agreement with America, Iran’s frozen assets worth $24 billion can be released within 60 days. It has also been claimed that Tehran will get half of this amount before the final phase of negotiations.
