Chandni Devi is standing from RJD on Baniapur assembly seat. Chandni Devi is the wife of late Bahubali and former MLA Ashok Singh. His contest is against BJP candidate Kedar Nath Singh. If we look at the current situation, Chandni Devi is 12125 votes behind her nearest rival Kedarnath Singh.

There is a direct contest between RJD and JDU on Belaganj seat of Bihar. On one side, Surendra Yadav’s son Bahubali Vishwanath Kumar is on RJD ticket. On the other hand, Manorama Devi is contesting the elections on JDU ticket. She is the wife of late leader Bindeshwari Prasad. Talking about the current situation, Manorama Devi is 1356 seats behind Vishwanath Kumar.

Voting for the first phase of Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 started today with great enthusiasm and peaceful atmosphere. In this phase, voters are exercising their franchise in Madhepura, Saharsa, Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, Gopalganj, Siwan, Saran, Vaishali, Samastipur, Begusarai, Khagaria, Munger, Lakhisarai, Sheikhpura, Nalanda, Patna, Bhojpur and Buxar districts.

The Election Commission has given priority to technology and security in the first phase of voting. 100% webcasting has been arranged at each booth, and voters can directly view their voting information through the new Voter Information Slip (VIS) and EVM Net App. For the first phase, 121 general observers, 18 police observers and 33 expenditure observers have been deployed. Special security surveillance has been maintained in rural areas, so that voting can be conducted fairly and smoothly.

According to voter data, Digha assembly constituency has the maximum number of voters registered at 4,57,657, while Barbigha has the least number of voters at 2,31,998. In terms of area, Bankipur is the smallest (16.239 square kilometer) and Suryagarha is the largest (62.247 square kilometer) assembly constituency.

The Commission has made extensive use of technology to maintain transparency in the election process. Voters can confirm their franchise through EVM Net App and VIS and get complete information about the voting process.

In the first phase of Bihar Assembly elections 2025, the fate of many famous and big candidates will be decided in Electronic Voting Machine (EVM). This list includes Grand Alliance’s Chief Ministerial candidate Tejashwi Yadav, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, and Vijay Sinha. Mokama seat is also in the news, where the fate of JDU candidate Anant Singh in the recent murder case of Dular Chand Yadav is also to be decided in this phase.

This arrest has been made in the murder case of Dularchand Yadav, which has focused the attention of the entire state on Mokama seat.

Anant Singh was caught by the police from Kargil Market located in Barh area of ​​Patna district. Two close associates were also detained along with him. Preparations are underway to present all three in court. Patna SSP Karthikeya K Sharma said that a few days ago there was a clash between supporters of two candidates, in which 75-year-old Dularchand Yadav died. During investigation, it was found that Anant Singh was present at the spot at the time of the incident, hence he has been made the main accused.

Postmortem report changed the case

The postmortem report that came during the investigation of the murder has raised many questions. According to the report, Dularchand Yadav died not due to bullet but due to serious injuries on his body. His ribs were broken and his lungs were also damaged. This has increased the possibility that he was crushed by a vehicle or attacked as part of a conspiracy.

Election Commission took strict action against officials

After the incident, the Election Commission took rapid steps at the administrative level. Flood SDO Chandan Kumar was removed and the responsibility was given to IAS Ashish Kumar. Many police officers were transferred and some were suspended. Patna Rural SP Vikram Sihag was also transferred. The Commission has asked for a detailed report of this entire incident from the DGP of Bihar.

Increased vigilance in police department

After the murder, Ghoswari and Bhadaur police station in-charge have been suspended. Additional police forces have been deployed across the district so that the election atmosphere remains calm and any kind of violence does not recur.

Anant Singh also filed a complaint

Before his arrest, Anant Singh had filed an FIR against his opponent Piyush Priyadarshi and some others. He says that this is a political conspiracy. However, the police claim that there is a lot of evidence against him and the investigation is moving in the same direction.

With the arrest of Anant Singh, the electoral equations on Mokama seat have completely changed. This seat has already been the center of muscle power and caste politics. Now the situation may become more difficult for JDU, while the opposition parties are preparing to campaign vigorously among the public by making this incident an election issue.
