National Testing Agency (NTA) has completed the application process for JEE Main 2026. This year more than 14.50 lakh candidates have applied. NTA has provided important opportunity to the candidates to correct the mistakes made during the application. All candidates should correct their mistakes and submit the form in time, so that they do not have to face any problem in future.

How long can we make improvements?

The correction window will be open from 1st December to 2nd December till 11:50 pm. During this period, candidates can update their information and resubmit the form.

When will the exam be held?

JEE Main 2026 exam will be conducted in two sessions. The first session will be from 21 January to 30 January 2026. Whereas the second session will be held in April 2026 (date will be released soon).

JEE Mains Registration: The application process for JEE Main 2026, the country’s largest engineering entrance process, has started. National Testing Agency has issued its notification. According to the notification, registration for JEE Main has started from tomorrow i.e. 31st October. Those candidates who want to take admission in courses like B.Tech, BE, B.Arch or B.Planning can apply till 27 November 2025. The application process will be completely online and for this the candidates will have to visit the official website of NTA and fill the form.

JEE Main 2026 Fees and Eligibility

The application process of JEE Main 2026 will continue till 11:50 pm on 27 November 2025. Candidates will also have to deposit the fees by 27th. Apart from this, the application fee for male candidates of general category has been kept at Rs 1000, for OBC and EWS category at Rs 900 and for female candidates at Rs 800. Whereas for SC, ST, Transgender and Disabled candidates the fee has been fixed at Rs 500. Apart from this, no age limit has been fixed to apply for JEE Main 2026 exam, candidates who have passed class 12th in 2024 or 25 or are going to appear in 2026 can apply. However, in 12th, the candidate must have one of the subjects Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology or Technical Vocational subject along with Physics and Maths.

These documents are necessary before application

NTA has advised the candidates to keep all their important documents updated before applying. These include Aadhar card, UDID card and category certificate. Candidates must ensure that the information on their Aadhar card like name, date of birth, address and photo is correct. Also, all this information matches with the 10th class marksheet. By doing this there will be no possibility of the form being rejected.

More exam date patterns

According to the notification issued by NTA, JEE Main exam will be conducted in two sessions. In which the first session will be held between January 21 and January 30. Whereas the second session will be held from 1 April to 10 April 2026. Information about the exam city of the first session will be released in the first week of January. The admit cards will be issued 3 to 4 days before the examination and the result will be declared by 12 February 2026. This year there has been no change in the exam pattern, there will be 75 questions in the exam which will be of 300 marks. There will be three subjects in the question paper, which will include Physics, Chemistry and Maths. There will be 25 questions in each subject and four marks will be given for every correct answer, while one mark will be deducted for the wrong answer. There will be no negative marking on questions not attempted.

Jee main final answer key 2025 out: The wait for the students who appeared in the JEE Main 2025 session 2 exam are now over. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the final answer. Which candidates can download by visiting the official website.Candidates can download the answer by following the steps mentioned here.

The result is based on the final answer by NTA. Earlier, the students were given an opportunity to register objections on the provisional answer which came. Now after reviewing all the objections, the final answer has been prepared, which cannot be challenged.

The result of JEE Main 2025 Sessions 2 organized by the National Testing Agency (NTA) is going to be announced soon. Let us know that the examination of JEE Main Paper 1 (BE/BTech) was conducted in two shifts between April 2 and April 8 at 285 cities and 15 international centers across the country. The final answer can be released today

This is how check results

Students will need their application number and password or birth year to check the result. After login, the scorecard can be downloaded, in which the NTA score will be available based on the marks of Physics, Chemistry and Maths. This score will be used to prepare the last merit list.

Cut-off may increase slightly this year

This year, about 9 lakh students had registered in JEE Main, in which about 95% of the students appeared in the examination. Due to such a large number of participants, the cut-offs can increase this time. Experts believe that the cut-off score of the general category can increase from 90.7 of the previous year to 92 or more. At the same time, the cut-off for OBC can be around 77.

NTA gave this information

NTA has made it clear that objections have been taken seriously on provisional answer key and the final answer has been prepared only after review of experts. The result will be prepared only on the basis of final answer. No student will be informed personally whether their objections were accepted or not. Along with releasing the results by NTA, every student will be sent to his scorecard registered email ID. Along with the numbers found, the eligibility information will also be given for JEE Advanced 2025.

Ranking will be decided on the basis of both sessions

The information of 14 students who had achieved 100 percent in session 1 have already been revealed. Now the final all India rankings will be declared on the basis of the results of session 2. This ranking will be based on the average of the NTA score of both sessions.

NTA’s statement amid growing controversy

Some students and teachers had alleged mistakes in provisional answer key, such as the wrong answer, empty answer and lack of answers. On this, NTA replied in his explanation that it is not right to reach any conclusion without seeing the final answer. All objections have been considered fairly. He had advised the students not to keep an eye on the official website and do not believe in any rumor.
