This action has been taken under the 3 MPO Maintenance of Public Order Act to maintain public system. Mirza considers Mahatma Gandhi to be very proud instead of Mohammad Ali Jinnah.

Arrest under which law
According to police officials, Mirza was arrested on the orders of the District Magistrate i.e. Deputy Commissioner. He has been sent to jail after his arrest. This action has been taken under administrative measures, in which 3 MPO law was used. Under this law, any person can be detained on the possibility of spoiling the public system.

Administrative sources say that this step has been taken to stop any congestion or gathering. In recent times, monitoring of religious institutions and academies has been intensified across the district. Officials say that it was necessary to take this step to maintain peace and order and to prevent any possible unrest.

Why is the government of Pakistan afraid?
Pakistani engineer Mohammad Ali Mirza keeps his own views on religion, which creates controversy many times. Sometimes they create a controversy by making a statement on the Ahmadis, sometimes they face criticism for the comments made on Muslim saints. Serious cases like spreading hatred and Tauheen-e-Rasool have also been registered on them.

The biggest concern of the Pakistani government is that Mirza’s online lectures are a large number of listeners, which can be affected by their thinking and this poses a risk of conflict and stress in the society.

The Indus Water Treaty, which was conducted by the World Bank’s mediation, has controlled the use of the Indus River and its tributaries between India and Pakistan since 1960.

Controversy over Baggihar Dam

The Bagihar Dam has been a matter of long dispute between the two neighbors. Pakistan has demanded the World Bank’s mediation in this matter. Pakistan also has objections due to its influence on Neelam, a tributary of Jhelum, especially about the Kishanganga dam.

History of Indus Water Agreement

The Indus Water Agreement, signed by Prime Minister of India Jawaharlal Nehru and President of Pakistan Ayub Khan in 1960. It was a historical agreement made in the World Bank’s mediation. Its aim was to avoid the future conflict between India and Pakistan over water resources. Under this treaty, India got the right to Ravi, Sutlej, Beas. The control of Indus, Chenab, Jhelum was assigned to Pakistan. However, India got limited irrigation, power generation and domestic use exemption.

Pakistan’s lifeline Indus?

The mainstay of Pakistan’s water-based economy is the Indus river system. With its help, Pakistan uses 93% of Western rivers water. 80% agricultural land depends on this water. The livelihood of millions of people, water supply network of cities and hydro power production rests on this system. So when India indicated the postponement of the Indus Water Agreement, there was a panic and resentment in Pakistan’s political and military leadership.

According to the information, due to water entering the Chakothi from Anantnag district in Uri, there was a sudden severe flood in the Jhelum river, which caused fear and panic among the local people. The central government is planning to study the methods of maximum use of water of the three rivers, which Pakistan was using under the Indus Water Treaty. The proposal was placed in a high -level meeting chaired by Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday, in which discussion was held in connection with the future action on the Indus Water Treaty of 1960.

Under the World Bank’s mediation water treaty, India was given special rights on the water of Eastern Rivers- Sutlej, Beas and Ravi, whose average annual flow is about 33 million acres of foot (MAF). Western rivers- Indus, Jhelum and Chenab water were allotted to Pakistan on a large scale, the average annual flow of which is around 135 MAF.

‘Not a single drop of water should go to Pakistan’

Water Power Minister CR Patil said on Friday that the government is working on a strategy to ensure that not a single drop of water goes into Pakistan. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has issued several instructions and this meeting was held to implement them.

According to sources, the government is working on a long -term plan to ensure effective implementation of its decisions. According to an official, the ministry has been asked to study the methods of using three western rivers water. Experts have talked about the lack of infrastructure that can limit India’s ability to fully use the water from the decision to suspend the treaty.

‘Water will flow towards Pakistan due to natural reason’

According to a report by the news agency PTI, Himanshu Thakkar of the South Asia Network on Dams Reverse and People (SANDRP) said that the real problem belongs to the Western rivers, where the boundaries of the infrastructure prevent us from stopping the flow of water immediately. Many of our projects are going on in the Chenab Valley, which will take five to seven years to complete. Till then, water will flow towards Pakistan due to natural reason. Once it is operational, India will have a control mechanism, which is not present in the present.

Sripad Dharmadhikari, the environment worker and founder of the Center of Manthan Study, said that India can fold the flow of water rapidly. At present, we lack the infrastructure required to prevent the flow of water in Pakistan.
