53 year old Pankaj Pawar has been associated with Reliance Group since 2000. He has about 30 years of experience in consumer and digital business. Before this, he had worked as the Managing Director of Jio’s telecom unit Reliance Jio Infocomm.

When is Jio’s IPO coming?

Jio’s IPO can be launched in the market between August and October 2026. The company has submitted its DRHP with SEBI on June 19. The company is preparing to raise about four billion dollars (about Rs 37,700 crore) through this IPO. Jio’s valuation for this IPO is being estimated at around $137 billion (about Rs 11.5 lakh crore). There will be no ‘Offer for Sale’ (OFS) in the IPO. That means the company will use the amount raised for its business growth, developing AI infrastructure and repaying old loans.

Reliance Jio has launched JioPC in India which is a virtual desktop service. There is no need to buy external CPU with this service. It is a cloud -based virtual desktop service that runs through the company’s set top box. With this, any TV connected to the Jio set top box can turn into a full personal computer. Here we are telling you in detail about JioPC.

JioPC Features

JioPC is a virtual desktop service that can convert any TV to a cloud -based personal computer connected to the Jio set top box. This service is designed to provide affordable computing in Indian homes and especially where there are less PCs. JioPC provides access to desktop functions such as web browsing, document editing and virtual learning. Jio wants to reduce digital divide in India with its broadband access and growing TV user base. Users will need keyboard and mouse to use this PC. Currently, this service is in free trial phase and can be used through Jio settop box.

JioPC operates completely via cloud. It runs on the existing set top box of Jio, which comes with a JioFiber plan or can be purchased separately. Once active, users can use virtual desktop interfaces on their TV using keyboard and mouse. This system comes preloaded with Libraoffis. The web provides access to Microsoft Office via browser.

However, advanced devices such as cameras and printers do not currently support. This platform is appropriate for the basic computing task. It can be used by students and general users. The thing to note is that users will always need an active internet connection to work for PC.

How to use jioPC

  1. First of all to open the JIOPC app, connect to your TV connected to Jio settop box, go to the app section and select the JioPC icon.
  2. The keyboard and mouse is to connect, plug the USB or Bluetooth supported keyboard and the mouse into the set top box.
  3. Have to set your JioPC account, your personal information will be filled yourself, just click on Connection to move forward.
  4. JioPC is to use your cloud desktop to use, education or entertainment and click on Launch Now.
