There is big news for students waiting for admission to Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). The university has released the first merit list for its undergraduate (UG) and Certificate of Proficiency (COP) courses. Now all those students who applied for admission, they can use their login details and go to the official website jnuee.jnu.ac.in and see the merit list.

See merit list by 26 July
According to the official information of JNU, the last date to view the first merit list is 26 July 2025. Students will see their name, category, marks obtained as well as related subjects and university names in the list. This list decides which students will be able to get admission in the prestigious courses of JNU.

Admission and verification process started from July 30
After the release of the merit list, now the next step is admission registration and document verification. The JNU administration has made it clear that this process for UG course will start from July 30, while for the COP course it will start from August 4.

Students will have to come to JNU campus for physical verification. Also, to complete the admission process, the fixed entry fee will also have to be paid. Students who will not participate in this process, their seat will be given to other candidates in the further merit list.

Second merit list will come on 1 August
After the first list, the second chance is also available for the students whose names have not come. JNU has announced that the second merit list of admission will be released on August 1, 2025. In such a situation, students who have not got a chance yet can wait for the next list.

How to download merit list?

1. Go to the official website jnuee.jnu.ac.in.
2. Click on the link ‘JNU UG/COP 2025 First Merit List’.
3. Enter your application number and password.
4. Your merit list will appear on the screen.
5. Download it and keep a printout for the future.
