2. Joint NDA Foundation Course – 10th pass students can take the NDA Foundation course which prepares for the 11th-12th studies as well as the NDA exam. This course prepares you for the NDA exam mentally, physically and academically.

3. Note on fitness – To make a career in the Air Force, not only is done through written examination, but physical fitness is also very important. You can become physically stronger by doing running, pushups, pullups and other exercises everyday.

How much salary is available in the Indian Air Force?
When you complete training through NDA and become an officer, your monthly salary can range from about 56,100 to 2,50,000. At the same time, salary varies according to rank and experience. Officers in the Indian Air Force are paid salary according to their rank. In this, the structure of salary has been decided according to the 7th Pay Commission like –

1. Flying Officer – This is the rank of initial officer whose basic salary ranges from 56,100 to 1,77,500.

2. Flight Lieutenant – After promotion, this rank is available, which ranges from 61,300 to 1,93,900.

3. Squadron Leader – This is a senior post in which basic salary ranges from 69,400 to 2,07,200

4. Wing Commander – This rank is available on the basis of experience and service, it ranges from 1,21,200 to 2,12,400.

5. Group Captain – A high official rank is from 1,30,600 to 2,15,900.

6. Air Marshal – The salary in this rank ranges from 1,82,200 to 2,24,100.

A golden opportunity has come for the youth dreaming of service service. The Indian Air Force (IAF) has issued an official notification for the recruitment of Airman Group-Y posts. This is a great opportunity for candidates who want to join the Air Force and serve the nation. Online applications will start from 11 July 2025 under the recruitment process and the last date has been fixed on 31 July 2025.

What should be the eligibility?

To apply in this recruitment, the candidate will have to score a minimum of 50 percent marks with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects in 12th standard from the Board recognized by the Government of India. Apart from this, candidates who have done diploma or BSc in pharmacy can also apply, provided their marks are also at least 50%.

Will get good salary

Selected candidates will get 14,600 per month stipend during the first training. After completion of training, he will be given a salary of about 26,900 per month under the military pay scale. Apart from this, other allowances and facilities will also be made available by the Indian Air Force.

Physical criteria is also necessary

To join the Air Force, not only studies, fitness is also necessary. The length, weight, chest width and hearing power of the candidate should be according to the Air Force set standards. The minimum circumference of the chest should be 77 cm and the power to hear should be so that the whisper can be heard from 6 meters away.

How will the selection process be?

Candidates will be selected on the basis of written examination, in which 12th level questions related to English, Reasoning and General Awareness will be asked. The duration of the exam will be 45 minutes. It will get 1 point on the correct answer while 0.25 marks will be deducted on the wrong answer.
