Satlana village of Luni Panchayat Samiti of Jodhpur district is in the news these days for a shocking incident. The saffron-clad sadhus living in the ancient temple of the village left the village and the temple, but what they did while leaving has raised many questions in the entire area.

Before leaving the temple, the sadhus made a video and uploaded it on social media, in which they alleged that the villagers were pressurizing them to leave the temple and the village. The sadhus say that they asked the villagers several times to come and take the keys of the temple, so that they could leave the place peacefully, but no one came to take the keys.

The keys of the temple kept at the crossroads

Finally today the Sadhu reached the main crossroads of Satlana village and made a video there and placed all the keys of the temple in public. After this he left the village. In the video, the sadhu is seen emotional and saying, “We are being forcibly asked to leave, so we are leaving the temple and the village.”

The biggest question – Why were the sadhus expelled?

The most important thing in this entire incident is who asked the sadhus to leave the temple? Is there any dispute, conspiracy or local politics behind this? Was there any tension going on regarding the property or management of the temple? No one has openly come forward with the answers to these questions yet. Neither has any villager given an official statement nor has there been any clear response from the administration.

boil over on social media

This video of sadhus is becoming increasingly viral on social media. People are raising questions that what will happen to religious traditions in a village where saints and sages are not safe? At the same time, some people are demanding an impartial investigation into the entire matter.

Following the instructions of the Jodhpur Chief Election Commission, the SIR (Special Intensive Revision) process is going on at a fast pace in many states across the country. Under this, thousands of government school teachers in Rajasthan have also been given the responsibility of BLO (Booth Level Officer). While performing this responsibility, a serious accident happened with a BLO from Jodhpur, but the surprising thing is that he is still doing duty.

50-year-old government teacher Yashvardhan Chauhan was given the responsibility of BLO on SIR duty. An accident happened to him during field verification itself. BLO Yashvardhan Singh Chauhan met with an accident on November 15 in Ship House area of Jodhpur.

The tractor wheel had hit his chest.

According to the information, during field verification a car suddenly hit him. Due to the collision, he fell on the road and then the wheel of a tractor coming from behind ran over his chest. Two of his ribs were broken in the accident.

Doctors have advised him rest, but due to the completion of election work, he is still engaged in the field and online process.

Field duty from 9 am to 7 pm

To fill the SIR form, BLOs leave for the field at 9.00 am and remain in the field till 7.00 pm. After this they have to enter online till late night.

Yashvardhan himself told that he leaves home at 9.00 in the morning and works in the field till about 7.00 in the evening. The online process takes place only at night, because the server is so busy during the day that updates cannot be made.

BLO working by tying medical belt on broken ribs

He told that despite the accident, he is continuously performing his duty by tying a medical belt on his ribs and taking pain medicine. The family is worried that Yashvardhan is working even though the doctor has asked him to take rest.

Yashvardhan Singh Chauhan’s mother told, “We did not even know at first that he had an accident. The doctor has asked him to take rest, but he is working continuously. He takes medicine to reduce the pain and goes out into the field after tying his belt.”

humanitarian approach and security

This case shows that amidst the compulsions of the election process, many employees are working taking risks. The administration needs to take immediate cognizance of such cases and consider providing medical leave, support and additional BLO arrangements to the injured employees.
