West Indies has announced a 15-member team for the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka. Shemar Joseph and Alzarri Joseph have returned to the Test team. At the same time, Joshua da Silva and Aamir Jangu have also been called back to the team.

Both Alzarri and Shemar were out due to injury at the end of last year. He was not a part of the team in the Test series played on the tour of India and New Zealand. Both these players played their last Test series against Australia on home soil. With the return of Joseph and Shemar, the fast bowling attack of West Indies looks very strong.

Joshua Silva has been rewarded for his consistently excellent performance in the domestic season. He performed brilliantly in the recently concluded West Indies Championship, scoring 413 runs in 7 innings, and was the highest run-scorer in the tournament. Joshua has been included in the team in place of Tevin Imlach. Imlach was a part of the team in the Test series played against New Zealand, but his performance was disappointing. He could score only 81 runs in 6 innings.

Who will play his last test match against Pakistan in January 2025. Jangu has returned to the West Indies team after a long time. Jangu’s performance in the domestic season was also excellent and he scored a total of 411 runs in 7 innings. After Joshua, he was the second batsman to score the most runs in the tournament.

Players who were part of the white ball series against Sri Lanka. Joined this camp on 15th June. This test series will be part of the World Test Championship. The first match of the Test series is to be played from 25-29 June. Whereas, the second test will be played from 3rd to 7th July.
