One in three people suffers from fatty liver

ILBS Vice Chancellor Dr. S.K. was present in the program. Sarin said that ILBS is the only liver university in the world and in the year 2025, 1,60,000 patients will be seen here, which is more than the number of patients seen in many European countries. Dr. Sarin said that till now 1,392 liver transplants have been successfully performed in the institute and 69 EWS category patients have also been transplanted. Dr. Sarin also said that one out of every three people in the country is suffering from fatty liver and hence, like kidney, liver transplant should also be demanded under Ayushman Bharat scheme.
