After the start of voting for the first phase of Bihar Assembly elections, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Thursday urged the voters of the state to vote in large numbers as this is a golden opportunity to teach a lesson to the opportunistic rulers who have betrayed the people. A total of 3.75 crore voters will decide the electoral fate of 1,314 candidates in the first phase of Bihar Assembly elections.

In this phase, the fate of the opposition grand alliance’s chief ministerial face Tejashwi Yadav and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders and deputy chief ministers Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha along with 16 ministers is also at stake. Kharge posted on ‘X’, ‘Voting for the first phase of assembly elections has started in Bihar, the birthplace of democracy. I appeal to the voters of Bihar to use their constitutional rights in maximum numbers and provide a new direction of change to the state after 20 years.

He said that we have to build such a Bihar where the future of the youth of the state is secure and they do not have to suffer the brunt of unemployment and migration. The Congress President said, ‘Every section of the society – Dalit, Mahadalit, tribal, backward, extremely backward, economically weak, minorities – should get equal rights and we should create a new definition of social justice so that Bihar’s contribution in the progress of the country increases.’

He emphasized, ‘Today, the aware people of Bihar have a golden opportunity to teach a lesson to the opportunistic rulers who have betrayed the public in the last 20 years by branding corruption, misgovernance and jungle raj as ‘development’. Don’t let this opportunity go. Kharge said, ‘I especially appeal to the youth who are voting for the first time, that they should not waste this opportunity and must exercise their franchise for change. Amidst the assembly elections in Bihar, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president J.P. While addressing a public meeting in Bhojpur on Tuesday (November 4), Nadda made a scathing attack on the opposition and praised the development of Bihar under the leadership of Nitish Kumar. Nadda said that jungle raj, goonda raj and kidnapping are the identity of RJD, whereas today’s Bihar is running on the track of development.

He said, “20 years ago, Bihar was immersed in darkness, there was no electricity, law and order was in bad shape, but today due to the hard work of Nitish Kumar ji, the state is creating a new identity of development. This is the golden period of Bihar and the beginning of a bright future.”

JP Nadda made this appeal to the people

Nadda appealed to the people to consider this election as an election of development and stability. He said, “Today the vehicle of development of Bihar is back on track and is now moving forward rapidly. It should not be stopped but should be strengthened. We have traveled in Bihar from lantern to LED and today this is the era of LED.”

The BJP president further said, “20 years ago, people used to go to generator vendors to get their mobile phones charged and pay Rs 10, because there was no electricity in their homes, but now there is electricity for 23 to 24 hours in every village.” He also added that today YouTubers are being prepared in the villages of Bihar, because the Modi government has connected more than 5,000 panchayats to the internet.

Emphasis on women empowerment

Referring to the schemes of Modi government and the state government, Nadda said that under the Women Employment Scheme, an assistance amount of Rs 10,000 has been given to the women of Bihar. He said that after the formation of the NDA government, Rs 2 lakh will be sent to the accounts of the women of Bihar, so that they can become self-reliant and get involved in self-employment.

He said that Jungle Raj will not be allowed to return to Bihar and the NDA government is giving a new direction to the development of the state.

Targeting former Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, Amit Shah said, “Fodder scam was done by Lalu Yadav, Land for Job scam was done by Lalu Yadav and Alcatra scam also happened under his rule.” He said that when Lalu Yadav was a minister at the Centre, he did not give anything to Bihar.

Announcing special schemes for Muzaffarpur, Amit Shah said that a cancer hospital has been approved here and the NDA government is also providing food grains for free.

He called upon the workers that 11 out of 11 seats of Muzaffarpur should go to NDA’s account. He said, “Press the button on the lotus symbol, give Bihar a stable and secure government again.”

In the public meeting held in Arrah before the Bihar Assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a big message regarding the election manifesto of NDA and the development of Bihar. He said that people sitting in Delhi are not able to understand the direction of the wind, the people of Bihar are with NDA. PM Modi said that 1 crore new jobs will be provided by next year and a complete blueprint has been prepared for this.

Taking a jibe at RJD, PM Modi said, “The things that identify RJD’s Jungle Raj are harshness, cruelty, bitterness, bad culture, bad governance and corruption.” He further said, “There is a fight between RJD and Congress. After the elections, they will butt heads with each other. Congress never wanted an RJD leader to hold the post of CM.

The Prime Minister said, “Modi had given the guarantee of removing Article 370 and he fulfilled it. Today the Constitution of India is in force in Jammu and Kashmir.” He also reiterated the promise of One Rank One Pension.

On the economic front, Modi said, “So far 60 lakh poor families have been given permanent houses in Bihar. Under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, farmers will now get Rs 9,000 annually.” He claimed, “One crore jobs will be provided in the coming year, the plan for which has been placed before the public.”

‘RJD and Congress ruined Bihar’
The Union Minister said that RJD and Congress have worked together to destroy Bihar and ever since the NDA government came to power at the Center for the third time, PM Modi has visited Bihar several times in the last one year. PM Modi has dedicated schemes worth lakhs of crores for Bihar. This in itself shows how much difference there is in the thinking of the two alliances.

Chirag Paswan said that an alliance which promotes crime and provides protection is the Grand Alliance. On the other hand, we have the NDA alliance whose minister is only for development.
