The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has prepared the first hypersonic missile K-6 to be launched from the nuclear submarine. The range of this intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) is about 8,000 km and can be tested soon. Recently, information about the features of the K-6 missile was shared in a seminar organized by DRDO. The speed of this K-6 missile is 7.5 Mac i.e. 9,200 kilometers per hour.

India’s two nuclear submarine in the wars, One can be ready this year

K-6 is India’s first hypersonic missile, which will be fired from a submarine. This missile will be launched with nuclear submarines to be built in the near future. India currently has INS Arihant and INS Ariya, two nuclear submarines.

INS Arihant and INS Ariha atom can be launched from K-15 (750 km range), K-4 (3,500 km range) and K-5 (5,000 km) strategic ballistic missiles from nuclear submarines. All these are submarine launch ballistic missiles i.e. SBLM just like K-6. Apart from this, by the end of this year, the third nuclear submarine INS Aridaman can also be prepared.

India had prepared the first hypersonic missile last year

Last year, in November, India had prepared the first hypersonic missile. The DRDO had tried a successful flight of a hypersonic missile that hit 1,500 km from the coast of Odisha. With this, India had now joined the club of countries like Russia and China, which has a missile with speed five times at a long speed speed in the armament.

The speed of hypersonic missile ranges from Mac-5, five times more than the speed of voice. This missile also fails to detect enemy radar or air-defense system.

Hypersonic missile used in Israeli-Iran Jung

During the Middle-East crisis, the first Yemen rebels had surprised the whole world by firing hypersonic on Israel. Recently, hypersonic missile was also used in Israeli-Iran Jung. Iran used hypersonic missiles to attack Israeli’s Tel Aviv and other cities. Israeli’s Iron Dome and America’s Terminal High Altitude Air Defense System also failed to intercept these missiles, due to which there was a huge devastation in Israel.

Russia used hypersonic missile Kinjhal on Ukraine

Russia has also used a hypersonic ‘Kinjhal’ missile against Ukraine. Russia launched this noise missile from the MiG-31 fighter jet. Recently, the US also claimed to make a hypersonic missile ‘Maco’, which will be fired from a fighter aircraft.

DF-17 hypersonic missile includes in China’s fleet

China has ‘DF-17’ hypersonic missile, capable of carrying nuclear weapons. The speed of this missile is between Mac-5 to Mac-10. Apart from this, ‘YJ-21’ anti-ship hypersonic missile is also in China’s warship.
