District officials said that no loss of life and property was reported. Kutch district is located in the “very high risk” seismic region and there are often earthquakes of low intensity.

The NCS said that the center of the earthquake that occurred at 11.26 pm was located 160 km north-west from Rajkot. The depth of the earthquake was 20 kilometers.
