Ever since the US President Donald Trump has imposed tariffs on India and China, the relationship between the two countries has improved. This is the first time after the Galwan struggle, when China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi has come to India and met S Jaishankar, NSA Ajit Doval and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It has been reported from China’s Foreign Ministry that during this visit of Wang Yi, 10 points have been agreed with India, including important points including direct flights, trade and peace on the border between the two countries.

Consent with India at 10 points

1. India and China agreed that the two countries would work towards a stable and visionary bilateral relations and strengthening, which will be in each other’s interest. The issues on which the leaders of both countries have agreed should be implemented seriously so that the development of India-China will be promoted.

2. China invited Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit to be held in Tianjin. India gave full support to the SCO meeting to be held under the chairmanship of China and hoped for meaningful results of this conference.

3. The two countries agreed to cooperate with each other in the successful diplomatic event. China will support India in hosting the 2026 BRICS Summit. India will support China in hosting the 2027 BRICS Summit.

4. The two countries will resolve each other’s concerns with bilateral talks. Under this, there will also be a high-level meeting between India and China in the year 2026.

5. India and China agreed to continue their cooperation in organizing the program in 2025 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations.

6. The direct flight service between China and India was agreed to restore as soon as possible and to finalize a latest air service agreement. It has been agreed between the two countries to restore tourists, business, media and other visa facilities.

7. It has been agreed between the two countries to continue and expand the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra.

8. Agreed on ways to facilitate trade and investment between India and China.

9. The two countries agreed to jointly maintain peace and harmony in the border areas.

10. It was agreed to enhance dialogue on major international and regional issues between the two countries, maintain the World Trade Organization (WTO) at the center, maintaining the rules-based multilet trading system, promoting the multiplar world protecting the interests of developing countries.

Kailash mansarovar yatra: The government of India and China is going to start the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra again. This sacred journey of Kailash Mansarovar is going to start again this year after a gap of five years. The move is being seen as an attempt to normalize the relations between the two countries (India and China), badly affected by the border deadlock in eastern Ladakh.

Ministry of External Affairs released a statement

The Ministry of External Affairs said on Saturday (26 April) that this sacred journey of Kailash Mansarovar will take place from June to August through two routes – Lipulekh Pass in Uttarakhand and Nathu La in Sikkim. The pilgrimage of Kailash Mountains and Mansarovar Lake located in the Tibet Autonomous region of China has great religious significance for Hindus as well as Jains and Buddhists.

The Ministry issued a statement saying, “The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra organized by the Ministry of External Affairs (Mea) is going to take place from June to August 2025.”

Kovid-19 was banned on travel due to epidemic

Initially in 2020, the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra was suspended due to the Kovid-19 epidemic and later postponed due to military deadlock between the two sides on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Eastern Ladakh.

There was a conversation between PM Modi and Chinese President

However, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping held talks about bilateral relations. After the talks of the two leaders, both sides held several meetings in the last few months, whose purpose was to normalize bilateral relations.

Foreign Secretary visited Beijing

In January this year, Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri visited Beijing and interacted with his Chinese counterpart Sun Veedong. In the meeting, both sides agreed to resume Kailash Mansarovar Yatra.

The Ministry of External Affairs said in its statement, “This year, from the Lipulekh Pass to Uttarakhand, five batches will go from Nathu La Pass to 10 Jatha (Mansarovar). The ministry said that applications for the journey can be submitted on the respective website. The Ministry of External Affairs said that passengers from the applicants will be selected through appropriate process.
