Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2025: After a long wait of five years, Kailash Mansarovar Yatra has started once again. The journey started from Nathula Pass on Friday, where the first batch was dispatched. There are 33 devotees in this batch, with whom two ITBP officers and a doctor are also going. Overall, 36 people have gone on this holy journey.

Sikkim Governor Laxman Prasad Acharya gave the first green signal to the batch and said that this is a very special moment of our culture and faith. He said that with this journey, people will get a chance to peep inside themselves and it connects us with our traditions. He also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi that this journey could start again with his efforts.

Preparations for pilgrims:
Pilgrims have to make special preparations to reach such a height. They first have to stop at the 18th mile and then stop in Sherrathang so that they can make their body favorable to height. This makes their body ready for difficult conditions above 14,000 feet. Pilgrim Shalanda Sharma said, “I used to wish to see Lord Shiva for many years. Now that dream is coming true. It is not just a journey, but a form of worship and penance.”

More money will have to be repaid for travel

For the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, passengers will have to pay more money in the year 2025 in the 2019 compare. This time every devotee will have to spend 1.84 lakh rupees on traveling from Lipulekh of Uttarakhand. In which 95000 China will be fees. Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2025: China’s Foreign Ministry said on Monday (28 April 2025) that preparations are going on between the two countries to resume the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra for Indian pilgrims during this summer season. This journey will be resumed after a gap of about five years. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said that the pilgrimage of Indian devotees of Kailash Mountains and Mansarovar in the Tibetan Autonomous region of China is an important part of the cultural relations of the two countries.

According to the consent between China and India, pilgrimage will be resumed in this summer season. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said that both sides are busy preparing necessary at this time. He said that this year is the 75th anniversary of China-India diplomatic relations. He said that China is ready to work with India to carry forward the important consensus between the leaders of both countries and to increase the strong and stable development of bilateral relations.

Travel will start in 5 and 10 batches

Last week, the Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi had announced that the yatra will be from June to August to two routes- Lipulekh Pass in Uttarakhand and Nathu La in Sikkim. This pilgrimage has religious significance for Hindus as well as Jains and Buddhists. The Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement issued on 26 April that this year, crossing the Lipulekh Pass from Uttarakhand and Nathu La Pass from Sikkim, will travel pilgrims in five batches and 10 batches (50 devotees in each) respectively.

The yatra was postponed in 2020 due to the Military Defecation between the two sides on the Line of Actual Control in East Ladakh, Kovid-19 epidemic and then in East Ladakh. India and China had completed the process of withdrawal of soldiers from two places confronted in Demchok and Depsang as part of an agreement on October 21 last year.
