Rishabh Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1 is showing no signs of stopping. The film has created a stir at the box office. Kantara Chapter 1 is breaking records one after the other. The film has now joined the Rs 500 crore club.

Kantara 17th day collection

According to Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 12.50 crore on the 17th day. The collection figures for the 17th day of the film are not official yet. But if the film collects Rs 12.50 crore on the third Saturday, then the total collection of the film till date will become Rs 506.25 crore.

There are also chances of the film’s collection increasing during the Diwali weekend. However, the box office collection of Kantara may be affected by Yushman Khurrana’s ‘Thama’ releasing on October 21.

Kantara Chapter 1 box office collection

Let us tell you that Kantara had opened with Rs 61.85 crores. On the second day the film had earned Rs 45.4 crores. After this, the film’s earnings increased on the third day. The film collected Rs 55 crores. The film did a business of Rs 63 crore on the fourth day. On the fifth day the film earned Rs 31.5 crore. The film earned Rs 34.25 crore on the sixth day. Earned Rs 25.25 crore on the seventh day and Rs 21.15 crore on the eighth day.

The total collection of the film in the first week was Rs 337.4 crore. After this, the film collected Rs 22.25 crore on the ninth day, Rs 39 crore on the tenth day, Rs 39.75 crore on the 11th day, Rs 13.35 crore on the 12th day, Rs 14.15 crore on the 13th day, Rs 10.5 crore on the 14th day and Rs 8.85 crore on the 15th day. The film did a business of Rs 147.85 crore in the second week. The film earned Rs 8.5 crore on the 16th day.

According to Koimoi’s report, the lifetime collection of Kantara at the domestic box office was 309.64 crores. There was 363.82 crore gross collection. The film earned overseas 44 crores. This was an all time blockbuster film.

The film had collected 162.09 crores in Kannada, 84.77 crore in Hindi, 42.38 crores in Telugu, 7.29 crore in Tamil and 13.11 crores in Malayalam. The film proved to be an all time blockbuster in Kannada and blockbast in Hindi and Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam.

The film profited 1831.25 percent. The rights of the Hindi version of the film were sold for 7.5 crores and the film gave a strong profit of 981.33 percent.

KGF: Chapter 2 came in April 2022 before Kantara, which was the highest profit giving film after Kovid. The film gave a profit of 759 percent. But when Kantara came, all the records were left. Kantara 1’s digital rights were sold for Rs 125 crore for Amazon Prime.

Kantara was such a big success that preparations for the second part of the film started. Now the trailer of the second part of the film is going to be released on 22 September 2025. The first part of the film where it was made in a budget of only 16 crores. Now there are reports that the budget for the second part has been increased by Rs 125 crore. Hrithik Roshan, the trailer of the Hindi version of the film, is going to launch.
