Every season of film maker Karan Johar’s talk show ‘Koffee with Karan’ has been quite popular. Many film stars have revealed important secrets of their lives on the show. Many cricketers have also appeared in Karan Johar’s talk show. Now Karan Johar has revealed that he will never invite Virat Kohli or any cricketer to ‘Koffee with Karan’. He attributed this to the controversy regarding Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul.

Karan Johar, while talking to Sania Mirza for Myntra’s Glam Stream, explained why Virat Kohli never came to his show. The film maker said- ‘I never asked Virat and now after what happened with Hardik (Pandya) and (KL) Rahul, I am not asking any cricketer. There are many whom I thought would not come, so I never asked them before.

What was the Hardik Pandya-KL Rahul dispute?
Let us tell you that in the year 2019, Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul had come to ‘Coffee with Karan’. During this, Hardik had given some controversial statements regarding women. While making some revelations about his personal life, the cricketer had told about losing his virginity. Then Hardik had told that he had told his parents – ‘When I lost my virginity, I told them that today I did it.’ Hardik had also said that while pointing towards the girls group at a party, he had told his parents that he had a past with all of them and his parents were proud of him for these things.

BCCI had banned both the cricketers
There was a lot of uproar regarding these statements of Hardik Pandya. The Committee and Administrators (COA) had sought clarification from Hardik Pandya and KL Rahus in this matter. After which Hardik had publicly apologized on Instagram. However, despite this, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) temporarily suspended both Pandya and Rahul under Rule 41 of its constitution, after which they could not play many matches.

Karan Johar had said on this entire controversy – ‘I must say that I feel very responsible because this was my show and my stage. I had invited him as a guest, so the result of the show is my responsibility.
