Actor Mohammad Omar Mukri’s daughter and actress Naseem Mukri recently shared many old memories related to Bollywood. While narrating the incident while working on the film ‘Haan… Maine Bhi Pyar Kiya’, he told that after the release of this film, the relationship between Abhishek Bachchan and Karisma Kapoor had broken.

Recently, in an interview given to Vicky Lalwani, Naseem Mukri talked about the film ‘Ha… Maine Bhi Pyar Kiya’ released in 2002. During this, he also revealed about the relationship between Abhishek Bachchan and Karisma Kapoor.

When he was asked about the shortcomings of the film, he said that there was no problem in the star cast, because at that time Abhishek and Karisma were in love with each other. However, Naseem Mukri claimed that there was a lot of chaos on the sets during the shooting of the film.

He said that Karisma Kapoor’s mother Babita Kapoor was not at all happy with the relationship between Abhishek Bachchan and Karisma. Naseem said, ‘Babita was strictly against this relationship. He did not approve of the love between Karishma and Abhishek. According to me, it was he who broke their relationship.

Naseem Mukri further said that Babita Kapoor had put a condition of money to break the relationship between Karisma Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan. In the interview, she said, ‘Babita had told Karishma to tell Abhishek to transfer property worth so many crores of rupees in your name, only then I will get you married to him.’

When Naseem was asked why there was so much objection to this relationship, he said that the Kapoor family had problems with the Bachchan family’s film status at that time and their position in the industry. Naseem Mukri claimed, ‘At that time Karisma Kapoor was a bigger star than Abhishek Bachchan, so this was the biggest reason.’

He said that after all these controversies, the relationship between Abhishek Bachchan and Karisma Kapoor broke down. The same year after the engagement was broken, Karisma Kapoor married businessman Sanjay Kapoor. Currently, Karisma Kapoor is the mother of two children, Samaira Kapoor and Kiyan Raj Kapoor. Her ex-husband Sanjay Kapoor died in the year 2025. Whereas, Abhishek Bachchan married Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the year 2007. They both have a daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan, who was born in 2011.
