RCB in Bengaluru Stampede Case: A new twist has come to light in the Bengaluru stampede case. The report of Justice John Michael de Kunha has been accepted by the Karnataka Cabinet. On June 4, 11 people died and several people were injured in a stampede at Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Royal Challengers Bangalore came to her home ground the next day after winning the first IPL title on June 3, but 11 people died due to stampede on this day.

Action on organizations associated with RCB

Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister HK Patil in the Government of Karnataka said that action will also be taken against the private organizations involved in the Victory Parade of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on June 4. After the cabinet meeting, HK Patil said that the report of Justice John Michael de Kunha has been accepted and now legal action will be taken on the basis of this report.

The Law Minister of the Government of Karnataka said that along with RCB, action will also be taken against companies like Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) and DNA Entertainment Network. HK Patil said that whoever is responsible in the Bangalore stampede case is registered in the report.

Who is responsible for the death of 11 people?

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah gave instructions to investigate on June 4 a day after the stampede. The Karnataka government in its investigation report mentioned the video shared from RCB’s social media handle and said that this event was organized by RCB and their organizers did not follow the legal process for the Victory Parade. At the same time, Karnataka’s Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar had reached DK Shivkumar to welcome the RCB team at the airport. It has been more than a month since this incident and still the search for the responsibilities of this accident is going on.

RCB Victory Parade Stampede: The Karnataka High Court has taken a big decision on Friday (June 06, 2025) in the case of stampede outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru during the RCB Victory Parade. The court has stayed punitive action against the officials of the State Cricket Association.

The Karnataka High Court directed the police that no punitive action should be taken against the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) on the basis of an FIR lodged outside the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium during RCB’s Victory Parade on June 4. However, the court directed the KSCA Management Committee to cooperate in the investigation and not to go out of the jurisdiction of the court without permission.

Know what was the debate in the court?

The KSCA has said that it is illegal to register an FIR, as the police started investigation by registering an unnatural death report (UDR) on the stampede incident. Registering an FIR against KSCA is a serious failure of justice from the police, while the government itself described the stampede as an unexpected accident and unexpected act.

The KSCA petition claimed, “This incident was an accident caused by a sudden crowd and for this, no intention or purpose of the KSCA management committee can be told as the stadium’s gate and the crowd were managed by RCSPL and not by KSCA, who rented the stadium to organize RCB.”

KSCA claimed, “When the order of suspension of police officers clearly reflects the failure of the police department, the police cannot disturb it.”

What did the court order?

The order said, “They will not go out of the jurisdiction of the court. Under the interim system, the registry is directed to re -list the registry on June 16, without any prejudice, they are instructed to take any hasty action against R2, 3, 4. If they are arrested, if they are arrested, their constitutional rights will be affected. Will do. “
