Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, while talking to the media outside Parliament on Tuesday, reiterated the Election Commission in collusion with the BJP and reiterated the allegations of disturbing voter lists. He said that this conspiracy took place in Karnataka and Maharashtra last year and is now preparing to repeat in Bihar through ‘Special Intensive Revision’.

He said, “This is not just a matter of one or two seats… it has happened in many seats. It is being done at the national level and with the plan. Along with this, Rahul Gandhi smiled and said, “The picture is still left.”

Demonstration and custody outside Parliament
The statement came out of Parliament 24 hours after the dramatic developments on Monday, when the MPs of the Congress and India Block demonstrated strongly demanding the release of a machine-readable voter list. Currently, the Election Commission releases the scanned pictures of the voter list, which makes it almost impossible to check the mistakes. During the protest, Delhi Police detained 29 opposition MPs including Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Akhilesh Yadav, Sanjay Raut.

Old allegations and warnings
Last week, Rahul Gandhi warned the Election Commission, “Think twice before attacking the Constitution. We will catch you one by one… and if you do not give us data (voter list and the last 10 years pole booth video), you will not be able to hide.”

He claimed that 1.02 lakh illegal votes were cast in Karnataka during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, in which only 80 voters were found registered at a room address in Mahadevpura area of Bangalore. He says that the Congress lost the Bangalore Central seat with this disturbance, where BJP’s PC Mohan defeated Mansoor Khan of Congress by 33,000 votes.

Allegations of disturbances in Maharashtra also
Rahul Gandhi and the opposition have made similar allegations about the 2024 Maharashtra assembly elections. He claims that more than one crore new names were added to the voter list, which is suspicious in the voter list, just four months after the BJP -led Mahayuti alliance defeat in the Lok Sabha elections. The opposition has also described the ‘Special Intensive Revision’ of the voter list in Bihar as suspicious before the election. This case has been challenged in the Supreme Court.

Election Commission and BJP reply
The Election Commission has dismissed all these allegations, saying that its procedures are transparent and have been created to ensure independent and fair elections. The Commission challenged Rahul Gandhi to register his claims in the affidavit and present evidence. On Friday, the Commission also raised a case of 2018 when it alleged that the Congress tried to mislead the Supreme Court in the petition of former Chief Minister Kamal Nath.

BJP leader Amit Malviya said, “If Rahul Gandhi wants to save his credibility, he will have to mention the names of ineligible voters under the affidavit, whom they are claiming… If they do not do so, it will be clear that there is no case in their case and they are just doing political drama.”

The Election Commission has reacted strongly to the allegations of disturbances in the voter list made by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for Karnataka Lok Sabha elections 2024. The Commission has said that if no election petition (petition challenging elections) has been filed, then what is the rationale for making such baseless allegations now?

Questioning Rahul Gandhi’s allegations, the Election Commission said that no Congress candidate lost in Karnataka Lok Sabha elections 2024 has filed any election petition under Section 80 of the Representation of People Act 1951. According to the Election Commission, not a single appeal was filed on the voter list of Karnataka by the Congress or any representative under Section 24 of the Representation of the People Act 1950.

Rule of Election Petition filed within 45 days

The Commission said that according to the rules, an election petition has to be filed against any election result within 45 days. If this happens, the Election Commission protects the related material, otherwise there is a provision to remove it. The Election Commission described Rahul Gandhi’s statement as ‘unfair and threatened’ and said that it is very unfortunate to target ECI as a constitutional institution.

Along with this, the Election Commission has also asked Rahul Gandhi that if no legal petition is filed, then on this level, questioning the election process at this level and targeting the Chief Election Commissioner is being done for the purpose?

Rahul Gandhi raised questions on Election Commission

Earlier, Rahul Gandhi has claimed the Election Commission of rigging and incorrectly adding and cutting the names of voters, claiming that he has a figure of an assembly seat in Karnataka, which proves how the Election Commission disturbs the voter list.

Karnataka Assembly Elections Survey Result: Political situation in Karnataka has changed rapidly after Operation Sindoor. A shocking revelation has been revealed in a recent survey. It has been revealed that if assembly elections are held in Karnataka today, then BJP can benefit bumper.

According to a survey by Hyderabad’s People’s Pulse Society and Kodemo Technologies, if elections are held in Karnataka, the BJP will win the Congress clearly. At the same time, JDS will remain in third place.

It has been told in the survey that CM Siddaramaiah is still the most favorite candidate for the post of Chief Minister. This survey, which lasted for a month, was talked to 10,481 people. According to this, BJP may get a majority on its own in Karnataka for the first time and is likely to get 136 to 159 seats, while the Congress can get 62 to 82 seats and its vote percentage can be reduced to 40.3%. It was 42.88% in the year 2023. The survey has revealed that the Congress is facing an anti -government wave.

JDS likely to get only 3 to 6 seats

JDS is likely to get only 3 to 6 seats and its vote share can also be reduced to 5 percent. It was 18.3 percent in the year 2023. It is indicating a direct contest between BJP and Congress in state politics.

BJP has become the largest party three times

The Bharatiya Janata Party has been playing an important role in the politics of Karnataka for the last 20 years and has become the largest party three times (2004, 2008, 2018), but so far the party has not been able to touch the magic figures of majority (113 out of 224 seats) on its own.

Siddaramaiah most popular Chief Minister candidate

According to the survey, CM Siddaramaiah is the most popular chief ministerial candidate among all parties. 29.2 percent of the voters liked him. After him, Deputy CM DK. Shivkumar got 10.7 percent votes.

How much support to which BJP leader?

No BJP leader got support in double digits. BS Yeddyurappa got 5.5 percent, Basavaraj Bommai 3.6 percent and B.Y. Vijayendra received 5.2 percent support. However, 16.9 percent of the people chose the ‘any BJP candidate’ option.

Mixed opinion on the functioning of Congress government

The functioning of the Congress government was mixed. 48.4 percent of the people described the functioning of the Congress government as ‘very good’ or ‘good’, while 51.6 percent described it as ‘average’, ‘bad’ or ‘very bad’.

Home Lakshmi Yojana was most liked

Out of the five major schemes of the Congress, the most liked scheme was home Lakshmi, which was liked by 45.4% of the voters. Under this scheme, Rs 2,000 is given to the female head of the family every month. After this, Shakti Yojana was liked by 19%, food fate 17%, home Jyoti 13.5% and youth fund was liked by 2%. At the same time, 3% of the people said that they did not know about these schemes.
