In case of repeat offence, the punishment has been increased to two to ten years’ imprisonment and a fine of up to ₹ 1,00,000. All offenses will be cognizable and non-bailable and cases will be heard by Judicial Magistrate First Class. Courts have also been given the power to award compensation commensurate with the loss suffered by the victims.
