There was a flood of faith in Uttar Pradesh on the occasion of New Year. A large number of devotees are reaching all the major temples of the state including the grand Ram temple in Ayodhya, Kashi Vishwanath in Varanasi and Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi in Mathura to have darshan of the Lord. So that we can start the new year with the blessings of God on the first day of the year.

On the first day of the new year, a large number of devotees are reaching the temple in Ayodhya to have darshan of Ramlala. Since late night, a crowd of devotees were seen in the temple waiting in long queues to have darshan of the Lord. People were seen lining up for hours, desperate to get a glimpse of Ram Lalla.

Devotees gathered to see Ramlala

On this occasion, devotees were seen dancing and dancing to the beats of drums in the temple. Devotees say that in the new year they have come to bless themselves by having darshan of Ramlala. It is said that if you start any work after having darshan of your favorite deity and taking his blessings, then that work is definitely completed.

The administration is fully alert in view of the influx of devotees in Ayodhya. Crowds of devotees are not being allowed to gather at one place. So that any kind of untoward incident can be avoided and the devotees do not face any problem in having the darshan of Ramlala. The crowd gathered in Ayodhya is enough to show that the inclination of the youth is now moving towards Sanatan and faith.

Enthusiasm seen among devotees in Kashi Vishwanath

Similar pictures emerged from Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi. Where a large number of devotees came to have darshan of the Lord on the first day of the New Year. During this, while talking to ABP Live, the devotees expressed their zeal and enthusiasm. He said that we had thought that Lord Vishwanath should be seen on the first day of the new year and we all are very happy with it.

Queue of devotees in Banke Bihari temple

A huge crowd of devotees was also seen in the world famous Banke Bihari of Mathura on the occasion of New Year. Devotees were seen standing in queue since late night to have darshan of the Lord. Even after waiting for hours, his zeal and enthusiasm did not diminish. Considering the number of devotees, the administration has also made complete preparations. Traffic has been diverted at many places. In view of the crowd, the temple administration has appealed to the devotees not to come to the temple till January 5.

Along with RPF and GRP, bomb disposal squad and dog squad are investigating in the parking lot of the railway station. Investigations are also being done at bus stands. Special security has been deployed at Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Kaal Bhairav Temple and Sankatmochan Hanuman Temple…”

He said that like previous years, adequate forces have been deployed. Continuous investigation is being done. All the information received is being verified. Traffic is still going on. School children are going to school. This is completely normal. Right now, there is no traffic diversion.”

Police increased surveillance in Ayodhya

On the other hand, police is on alert in view of security in Ayodhya.

Diwali 2025: Although Uttar Pradesh is colorful for every festival, but when it comes to Diwali, one city overshadows all the others and its name is Ayodhya. In Ayodhya, which is considered to be the birthplace of Lord Shri Ram, Diwali is not just a festival but a vibrant celebration of devotion and culture. Here Diwali is called the Festival of Lights and its grandeur has become a topic of discussion not only in the country but in the whole world. But there is another city, where Diwali is celebrated separately, let us know.

Diwali is celebrated separately in this city

Dev Diwali of Varanasi is completely different. It is celebrated a few days after Diwali, when it is believed that the gods themselves come to the banks of the Ganges and light lamps. On that day, every ghat of Ganga is illuminated with millions of lamps, and it seems as if the stars of the sky have come down to earth. Devotees come from far and wide to see this divine sight. Kashi’s Diwali is not just lights, but a confluence of devotion, music and spirituality, where the echo of mantras, the flame of Aarti and the waves of lamps together create an atmosphere of unique faith.

Ayodhya’s Diwali

Ayodhya’s Diwali is different from other cities because its roots are linked to Treta Yuga. According to belief, when Lord Shri Ram returned to Ayodhya after 14 years of exile and killing Ravana, the entire city welcomed him with lamps. The tradition of celebrating Diwali started from here itself. Every year, remembering this historical moment, Deepotsav is organized in Ayodhya.

Saryu banks sparkle

The state government and local administration have now given a grand shape to this festival. Lakhs of lamps are lit at Ram Ki Paidi and Saryu banks. This golden flicker of lamps is reflected in the Saryu River and the entire city turns into heaven. During the Deepotsav, Ramlila, cultural programs, laser shows and processions also take place in Ayodhya. The statues of Lord Shri Ram, Mother Sita and Lakshman are given a royal welcome. Artists from many countries perform in traditional costumes, due to which this festival has taken an international character.

Also read: Diwali 2025: Why don’t Hindus of this state celebrate Diwali? You will be surprised to know the reason

There are many temples in India which are the center of people’s faith as well as have a different identity. There are many such temples in different parts of the country which have their own history and religious belief. But there is also a temple where police uniforms are worn to God. Let us know where this temple is and what is the secret behind wearing a uniform to God.

Kaal Bhairav is called Kotwal of Kashi

The city of Kashi has special significance in Hinduism. It is one of the oldest cities in the world. Here is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, Kashi Vishwanath Temple is one of the most sacred places of Hinduism dedicated to Lord Shiva. There is a Baba Kaal Bhairav temple located in Varanasi which is very famous. Here Baba Kaal Bhairav is known as Kotwal of Kashi. It is believed that Baba Kaal Bhairav protects Kashi and every devotee who comes here has to take their permission. There is a special tradition of this temple that police uniforms are worn here to the idol of Lord Kaal Bhairav. In this unique decoration, Baba is worn by a police cap, badge on the chest, silver stick and uniform in the left hand.

What is the reason behind this

In fact, during the Korona epidemic, when the whole world was struggling with crisis, the people of Varanasi prayed to Baba Kaal Bhairav for protecting. At that time, the priests of the temple and the local administration together decided that Baba should be wearing a police uniform and praying for the safety of the city and freedom from the epidemic. This initiative was not only a symbol of faith, but also showed respect for police personnel and their tireless efforts. Since then, this tradition is repeated from time to time, especially when there is a special occasion or crisis situation in the city.

This form of God starts to see a huge crowd

Local people and devotees believe that there are many forms of Baba Kaal Bhairav. Seeing them in police uniform is a symbolic message that he is the protector of Kashi and punishes every wrong thing. A crowd of devotees throngs the temple to see this unique decoration. It is believed that Jokha Baba himself has an account of the sin of people who reside in Kashi. It is believed that on the one hand, where Baba punishes people for their deeds, they also solve their problems.

Also read- Mountbatten’s daughter had gone with foot on Indians on 15 August 1947, this anecdote will surprise

Kashi vishwanath temple: The use of plastic has been banned from now on the Kashi Vishwanath temple in Varanasi. This important decision has been taken in the meeting of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust Council on Sunday. In which the temple premises were approved for plastic free. In this meeting, it was decided that after the month of Sawan, admission will not be found in the Kashi Vishwanath temple by taking any kind of plastic.

Preparations for the month of Sawan in Kashi Vishwanath Temple have already started. Sawan is starting from July 11. In such a situation, lakhs of devotees come to the temple daily to see Lord Bholenath and offer water. In view of this, the temple administration met on Sunday. In this meeting, it was decided that since the month of Sawan, a campaign has been launched to free Baba’s court from plastic.

Preparation to free the temple complex plastic
Chief Executive Officer of the temple Vishwa Bhushan Mishra said that on 2024 December, a decision was taken to ban the plastic in the campus on behalf of the temple trust. After which work will be started on it now. People will be made aware through different campaigns in the month of Sawan. From 10 August 2025, devotees will not be able to enter the temple with any kind of plastic in the temple premises.

He said that devotees will not be allowed to go to the temple premises even with plastic with fruit flower worship material. People will be told that they cannot take milk, water, garland or other types of worship material inside any type of plastic vessel. A campaign will also be run on social media to make the devotees aware.

The use of single use plastic in the temple premises has already been stopped and now after the month of Sawan, the use of any kind of plastic in the temple premises will be completely stopped. After which the temple will be completely plastic free and it will also help in preserving the environment.
