POK i.e. Pakistan Occupied Kashmir is not just a territory but a sensitive issue flowing in the veins of Asian politics. For years this region has been stuck between the strategies of India, Pakistan and China. Now imagine, if under any circumstances India takes back PoK, what will change? Will this change just one line of the map or will the balance of power of entire Asia be shaken? Its effects will go far.

Why is the issue of PoK so important?

POK is the area which has been occupied by Pakistan since 1947-48, whereas it is an integral part of India. This area is very strategically sensitive because many important mountain passes, rivers and borders are connected here. Apart from this, this region plays an important role in the security system of South Asia.

What will change if India takes back PoK?

If India reclaims PoK, it will not be just a matter of India-Pakistan border. This will have a direct impact on the geopolitics of Asia. First of all, Pakistan’s strategic position will be weakened, because a large and sensitive area will be lost. This can also have a deep impact on its internal politics and the situation of the army.

Why will China get the first big blow?

A large part of PoK falls near Gilgit-Baltistan, which is considered an important part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor or CPEC. CPAC is the backbone of China’s Belt and Road Initiative. If India has control over this area, then questions may arise on the security and future of CPAC. This may affect China’s investment strategy and its access to West Asia.

Why will it be a big shock for Pakistan?

Losing PoK would not only be a loss of land for Pakistan, but it would also be a major political and psychological blow. The issue of Kashmir has always been at the center of Pakistan’s politics. In such a situation, removing control over PoK can create huge pressure for the government, army and general public.

Possible role of America and Europe

America and European countries will definitely appeal for peace and restraint on any such major change. His emphasis will be on maintaining stability in the region. However, India is seen as a responsible regional power, so Western countries will try to balance the situation and not lead to direct confrontation.

Reaction from the Middle East and other Asian countries

Many countries of the Middle East have strong economic and strategic relations with India. Their economy and energy cooperation is linked to India. In such a situation, they can give a balanced response instead of adopting a very aggressive stance on this issue. Other countries of South Asia will also watch the situation carefully.

Impact on security and terrorism

If PoK comes under India’s control, the structure of cross-border terrorism may be affected. This will be considered a big change in terms of India’s internal security. However, there will also be a possibility of increasing regional tension, which will need to be handled through diplomacy.

Possible changes in Asia’s geopolitics

Overall, changing the status of PoK will affect the balance of power in Asia. India’s role and influence may increase, China and Pakistan’s strategies may have to be rethought, and global powers will start looking at the region more seriously.

PDP President and former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti has given a big statement about the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan. He has said that sports competitions between the two countries should start again so that the atmosphere is normal and can be extended towards peace.

‘Sports are necessary if you want peace’

Mehbooba said, ‘If you want to live peacefully and do not want to spend money on war, then there should be sports competitions between India and Pakistan. If we want to control unemployment and poverty, then you have to normalize the situation and the game is the best way to achieve this goal.

Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor mentioned

Referring to the recent Pahalgam terrorist attack and the Operation Sindoor done by the Indian Army, he said that this entire situation has made the atmosphere more stressful.

Let me tell you that on April 22, a terrorist attack on a tourist resort in Pahalgam was attacked, in which 25 tourists and one local citizens were killed. In response, India took action on the structures of terrorists across the border under Operation Sindoor on May 7, after which there was a military clash between India and Pakistan for four days.

‘War is over, but the atmosphere did not change’

Mehbooba Mufti said that even though the war has stopped, there is still a war -like atmosphere in the country. Referring to US President Donald Trump, he said that he has been taking credit for avoiding nuclear war many times.

BJP caught the path of Godse- Mufti

Taking a dig at the central government, he also said that ‘BJP has created such an atmosphere in the country that all parties have to ask the government why a ceasefire was held by Pakistan. If someone does not talk about dropping a bomb, then he is being called a traitor.

Mehbooba alleged that the BJP has left the policy of Atal Bihari Vajpayee and has taken the path of Nathuram Godse. He said, ‘We do not talk to our neighbors, so organizations like SAARC (SAARC) are going under the influence of China.’

He expressed concern that now has become a new trend, as soon as the terrorist attack takes place, the war starts immediately. Mehbooba clearly said that such an atmosphere will harm the country, and it also pushes the leadership image of India.

Bilawal bhutto zardari on india pakistan tension: Former Pakistan Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari said on Saturday (June 7, 2025) that India is making excuses to avoid negotiations to resolve the dispute between the two countries. He said this in the context of increasing tension between India and Pakistan. Let us know that after India’s Operation Sindoor, Pakistan has also sent delegation to different countries to put its side in front.

During a press conference in Washington, former Pakistan Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that Pakistan’s government and army are unanimous against terrorism and it would be beneficial to improve relations with India. He said, “India has been running away from repeated investigation and conversation. I think it is the weakest excuse not to talk right now.”

Former Foreign Minister of Pakistan said this big thing

The former Pakistan Foreign Minister said, “India and Pakistan should talk for peace, but India makes an excuse every time- sometimes the excuse of the army and the government, sometimes the international politics, sometimes says that all Muslims are terrorists, so they will not talk to Pakistan. Now all this has happened.”

He further said, “India wants neither America nor United Nations nor anyone else’s help nor wants to talk to Pakistan itself. This is beyond comprehension.”

Bilawal Bhutto again raised the issue of conversation

Bilawal Bhutto said, “India should be explained that he should take back his wrong decision and come forward for talks.” He said that the ceasefire between India and Pakistan is just the beginning. For a long time in South Asia, it is necessary to openly talk about all disputes with India. Pakistan had accepted the ceasefire on the hope that further talks would happen. “

Bilawal also said, “We believe that this is the only way that is necessary for both India and Pakistan. Ceasefire is fine, but today we are in danger than before. Not only for both countries, but also for the entire region and world.”

Pakistan Violates Ceasefire: Pakistani troops continued to violate the ceasefire along the Line of Control (LOC) in Jammu Kashmir and fired without any provocation in many sectors. The Indian Army also gave a tough and suitable reply to this. This is the 12th consecutive night of such provocative action when the tension between India and Pakistan (India-Pakistan Tension) increases in Pahalgam Terror Attack on April 22 in Pahalgam. 26 people were killed in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam.

Pak fired in Kupwara, Baramulla, Poonch, Rajouri, Mendar

A defense spokesperson in Jammu said, “On the night of May 5 and 6, the Pakistan Army (Pakistan Army) firing with small weapons in front of Kupwara, Baramulla, Poonch, Rajouri, Mendhar, Naushera, Sundera, Sundera and Akhnoor with small weapons beyond the LOC (LOC) without the LOC (LOC). Immediately responded to Pakistani action and appropriately.

Firing still continues in five districts

Out of the seven border districts of Jammu Kashmir Border Area, firing continues in five districts. So far there is no news of firing along the international border in Samba and Kathua districts. This new round of firing from across the border further weakens the ceasefire agreement, which is now considered to be a large extent ineffective due to the frequent violations of Pakistan along the 740 km long control.

Pakistan starts firing from Kupwara and Baramulla

These recent attacks of Pakistan (Pakistan) started in Kupwara and Baramulla, whose scope has now spread to Rajouri, Poonch, Akhnoor and Paragwal sector on the international border in Rajouri, Poonch, Akhnoor and Jammu district. Five border districts- Baramulla, Kupwara, Poonch, Rajouri and Jammu were affected by the firing.
