Youth for Panun Kashmir (Y4PK), an organization active in demanding the homeland of displaced Kashmiri Pandits, has announced a big campaign on Wednesday (November 19). The organization said that ‘Maha Abhiyaan Awahan 2026’ will be started on 16 January 2026 from Jagti Camp located in Jammu.

Big step after 35 years

Chairman of the organization, Rahul Kaul said in the press conference that it has been 35 years since the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from Kashmir Valley due to terrorism. Describing this as a historic moment, he said that now the time has come for the displaced communities to raise their demand for their separate motherland more strongly on the national platform.

According to Rahul Kaul, this campaign will prove to be the most decisive civilizational mobilization in the long struggle of the displaced Kashmiri Hindus. He says that this is not just a program, but an effort to raise the voice of the community fighting for its identity, security and honorable return at the national and international level.

Why was Jagati camp chosen?

Jagti Camp has been chosen as the starting point because it is the largest settlement center of Kashmiri Pandits in the country. Thousands of displaced families have been living here for the last several years and are continuously raising the demand for their motherland and safe rehabilitation.

The organization claims that through this campaign, the displaced Pandit community spread in different states, many social organizations and youth groups will be connected. Along with this, many rallies, dialogue programs and public awareness campaigns will be conducted in the coming months, so that the movement can get support at the national level.

Panun Kashmir and its associated organizations have been demanding for a long time that a separate and safe homeland be created for Hindus in the valley, so that they can return to their homes with dignity. The organization says that through this campaign they will appeal to the government to take concrete steps.

Omar abdullah at kheer bhawani mandir: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah offered special prayers today (May 20) on the occasion of the annual fair at Kheer Bhavani Temple in Tulmula in Ganderbal district. During this time, he offered water to Mata Ragnya Devi, offered flowers and also listened to the chanting by taking the plate of Aarti. This temple holds special religious and cultural significance for Kashmiri Pandits.

Omar Abdullah has also visited this temple several times before and has given the message of ‘Kashmiriyat’ and communal harmony. Since the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, there has been a sudden decline in the tourism sector of Jammu and Kashmir. On this issue, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah had made a statement and clarified that at present, more priority than the economic situation of the state is being given to the elimination of terrorism. He had said, “Our focus is not yet on economic data but on the end of terrorism and for this we are standing with the Government of India.”

Focus on tourism after the success of ‘Operation Sindoor’- Omar Abdullah
After the success of ‘Operation Sindoor’, Omar Abdullah appreciated this action and described it as a big step towards restoration of peace in the state. After this, his statements also indicated that they are now trying to revive tourism in the state. He specially mentioned from Amarnath Yatra to Vaishno Devi and assured that the government is giving top priority to the safety of the passengers.

Jammu and Kashmir Police issued a notification stating that Pakistan’s intelligence agency is planning to attack the local police (CID), people of other states and Kashmiri Pandit in the ISI Valley. According to Kashmir Police, ISI and terrorists are together to destroy railway infrastructure in North, Central and South Kashmir.

Officials said that the infrastructure of the railway remains a sensitive target, as many railway employees in the valley are non-local. He said that railway security personnel often go out of their barracks and roam the local markets. They have been asked to avoid doing so, because it is not right from their security point of view.

Officials said that these personnel have been warned to stop such activities with immediate effect to ensure their safety. It has been warned that Pakistan’s detective agency ISI is planning to carry out a target attack on Kashmir Pandits and police personnel in Srinagar and Ganderbal districts. Security forces have started action immediately.

It has been ordered on behalf of the officials that necessary precautionary steps should be taken by coordinating with local police and security agencies to thwart any effort to harm the railway projects by the terrorists.
