America has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on Australia’s Bondi Beach on Sunday (December 14, 2025).
Rubio shared a post on Twitter saying, ‘The United States condemns the terrorist attack in Australia, which targeted the Jewish festival. There is no place for anti-Semitism in this world. Our prayers are with the victims of this horrific attack, the Jewish community and the people of Australia.

We share the pain of the Australian people: Emmanuel Macron

At the same time, French President Emmanuel Macron has also strongly criticized and condemned the terrorist attack in Australia. He said in the X Post, ‘An anti-Semitic terrorist attack has been carried out targeting families gathered to celebrate Hanukkah in Sydney. France expresses its condolences to all the victims, injured and their families affected by this attack.

News of terrorist attack from Australia disturbing: Starmer

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has also expressed grief over this terrorist attack. He said, ‘The news coming from Australia is very disturbing.
In another X post, PM Keir Starmer said, ‘Hanukkah should be a festival and a time of joy, but the anti-Semitic terrorist attack targeting Jewish families during the Hanukkah festival on Bondi Beach is an extremely disgusting and shocking incident. My condolences are with all the victims and their families. Britain will always stand with Australia and the Jewish community.
There was a stir in a train in England on Saturday evening (November 1) when a person attacked several passengers with a knife on a train going towards London. According to eyewitnesses, there was “blood everywhere” on the train and many passengers hid in washrooms out of fear. This incident happened in a train going from Doncaster to London King’s Cross station.

British Transport Police said the train was stopped at Huntingdon station in Cambridgeshire and two suspects were arrested at the scene. According to the police, ten people have been injured, out of which the condition of nine is said to be serious.

Police said the attack has been declared a major accident and the Anti-Terrorism Unit is assisting in the investigation. Eyewitnesses said that after the train stopped, they saw a man with a large knife on the platform, who was later subdued by the police with a Taser.

What did British Prime Minister Keir Starmer say?

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer described the incident as horrific and said, “My thoughts are with all the victims and their families. I thank the police and emergency services for their swift response.”

Incidents of stabbing have increased continuously

In the last few years, incidents of stabbing have increased continuously in Britain. According to government figures, more than 50,000 knife crimes were recorded in England and Wales last year, almost double the number in 2013.

According to the Home Ministry, so far around 60,000 knives have been seized or people have voluntarily handed them over to the police. The government has set a target of halving knife crime in the next ten years. If caught carrying a knife in a public place, the punishment can be up to four years. However, in the last one year there has been an 18 percent decline in murders involving knives.

The first meeting of the Gaza Peace Summit will be held in Egypt on Monday (October 13, 2025). US President Trump and Egypt’s Abdel Fatah al-Sisi will preside over it. Representatives of more than 20 countries will participate in this meeting. Under President Trump’s peace agreement, 7 hostages were released in the first phase. Meanwhile, the statement of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has come to light.

Through the social media platform ‘X’, the British PM said, ‘Today is the first and important step in ending the war in the Middle East. Now we have to ensure lasting peace and a secure future in the entire region. The UK is providing additional humanitarian assistance to civilians in Gaza and we will lead efforts to accelerate its reconstruction.

Israel will release 2000 prisoners from Palestine

The US President has visited Israel before attending this meeting held in Egypt. Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu welcomed the US President. However, this visit of the US President is of 4 hours. On the other hand, the latest update in the hostage release case is that in the first phase, 7 Israeli hostages were handed over by Hamas to the Israeli authorities at the Red Cross.

At the same time, information has been given on the ‘X’ account of the Israeli War Room that the remaining 13 surviving hostages have also been handed over by Hamas to the Red Cross to the Israeli authorities. Under Trump’s ceasefire plan, about 2000 prisoners from Palestine are to be released by Israel.

Families of released hostages happy

The Israeli War Room has informed that the family of Matan, one of the released hostages, said, ‘We can breathe again. Our mother has come home! Our beloved son has returned to us after two years and we are very proud of him. We respect his courage. We can’t help but hug him and we are planning his return with him.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Thursday (9 September 2025) praised India’s development, considering it ironic. He said that India is on its way to becoming the third largest economy in the world by the year 2028. This statement of the British PM is a slap on the statement of US President Donald Trump, in which he had called the Indian economy a ‘dead economy’.

‘India on its way to becoming the third largest economy’

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said that India is on its way to becoming the world’s third largest economy by 2028 and Britain is well placed to become a partner in this journey. He said that the India-UK trade agreement will give Britain an opportunity to increase its leadership in technology, life sciences, renewable energy and other sectors.

He said that both countries are also deepening the UK-India Technology Security Initiative. Starmer, who arrived in Mumbai with a high-level delegation, said he also discussed the Russia-Ukraine conflict with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and both countries adopted a common approach to ending the conflict.

‘Israel-Hamas peace proposal a big achievement’

Starmer described US President Donald Trump’s Israel-Hamas peace proposal as a major achievement and said that this plan will bring relief to the hostages of Gaza, the citizens and the whole world. “We will now work with our partners to ensure that this peace plan is fully implemented and without delay,” he said.

Trump’s dead economy statement deflated

America imposed 50 percent tariff on India for buying Russian oil. When India did not bow down to Trump’s arbitrariness and called America’s decision a unilateral action, Trump got irritated and started making statements on India’s economy. Trump had said, “I don’t care what India does with Russia, but together they can bring down their dead economy further, I don’t care.”

The Ministry of External Affairs said that during the meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his British counterpart Keir Starmer on Thursday (October 9, 2025), issues like Khalistan were also discussed. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said that PM Modi told Starmer that fundamentalism and violent extremism have no place in democratic societies. PM Modi said, “The freedom enjoyed by the society should not be allowed to be misused or misused.”

Britain should take action against Khalistani extremists

The Foreign Secretary said, “The issue of Khalistani extremism was discussed in the meeting between PM Modi and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer. PM Modi emphasized that there is a need to take action against them under the legal framework available in both the countries.” India has often been raising the issue of Khalistanis with Britain. For the past few days, India has also expressed concern about the activities of Khalistan extremists in Britain.

Khalistani active in UK

Khalistanis had demonstrated in front of the Indian Embassy in London in March 2023. During this, Khalistanis had clearly insulted the tricolor. Then the Foreign Ministry of India had also summoned the Deputy High Commissioner of Britain. In March 2025, Khalistan supporters protested in front of External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar’s vehicle in London, which is being considered as the biggest security lapse. The incident occurred when Jaishankar was leaving Chatham House after concluding a dialogue session.

India and Britain are natural partners: PM Modi

PM Modi said on Thursday (9 October 2025), “India and Britain are natural partners. The growing relations between the two countries are important pillars of global stability and economic progress at a time when the world is facing a period of uncertainty.” Following the PM Modi-Keir Starmer talks, both sides announced plans to supply light multi-role missile systems to the Indian Army to enhance its air defense capabilities.

The governments of India and Britain have signed a big defense agreement. According to this agreement, Britain will now supply lightweight multirole missiles to the Indian Army. This defense deal of $ 468 million (about Rs 3,884 crore) took place in India’s financial capital Mumbai during the meeting of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the second and last day of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s first visit to India.

British Defense Ministry issued statement after agreement with India

The British Defense Ministry has issued a statement on Thursday (October 9, 2025) regarding this defense agreement. Britain’s Defense Ministry has termed this agreement as important for the deepening strategic relations of its defense industry with India. The ministry said, ‘Under this agreement, Low Weight Multirole Missiles (LMM) manufactured in Belfast, UK, will be supplied to the Indian Army, which gives a significant boost to the UK defense industry.’

These live-weight multirole missiles, also called Martlets, are air-to-air, surface-to-air and surface-to-surface missiles.

More than 700 jobs will be protected in Britain due to the agreement with India

The ministry said, ‘This defense deal will secure more than 700 jobs in Northern Ireland, because the air defense missiles and launchers being made for India are the same ones that Belfast is currently making for Ukraine.’

According to the British Defense Ministry, this agreement can pave the way for a comprehensive complex arms partnership between India and Britain, for which talks are currently going on between the two countries.

Why is this defense agreement important for India?,

This defense agreement with Britain regarding light-weight multirole missile is very important for India. Although India already has a variety of missiles, the modern, light and multirole missiles received from Britain will help the Indian Army to respond immediately during any possible attack. These light-weight multirole missiles can be used both on land and sea. Due to which it will further increase the strategic flexibility of the Indian Armed Forces.

A big drop in the prices of premium British whiskey brands may soon be seen in India in the coming days. The main reason for this is the visit of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer to India to finalize the trade agreement between India and Britain, in which special attention is being given to British-made whiskey.

In fact, India is the largest consumer of Scotch and whiskey in the world in terms of quantity. British whiskey brands like Chivas Regal, Ballantine, The Glenlivet, Glenfiddich and Johnnie Walker are in great demand in the Indian market. In such a situation, the huge demand for Scotch whiskey in India has been driven by the rapidly growing middle class and changing tastes towards luxury imported products.

During Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to London in July this year, the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) was signed between India and Britain, which promises to make expensive liquor cheaper. This agreement will not only affect foreign brands, but the prices of IMFL (India-Made Foreign Liquor) brands sold in the Indian market will also come down.

After three years of talks, India-UK After CETA signature on

This trade agreement between India and Britain comes after three years of difficult negotiations, which were further intensified by circumstances like US President Donald Trump’s tariff tension. At present, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is on a tour of India. Along with him have also come members of the Scotch Whiskey Association and executives of big companies like Diageo, the manufacturer of Johnnie Walker. The purpose of this visit of the British Prime Minister to India is to strengthen India-UK relations in trade, fintech, defense and other areas. However, the liquor sector is garnering the most headlines in this agreement, in which the agreement regarding Scotch whiskey is being seen as a big success.

Annual sale of whiskey in India can reach one billion dollars

According to Downing Street estimates, annual sales of Scotch whiskey in India could reach $1 billion. This will create more than 1000 new jobs in Scotland, benefit the UK economy by 190 million pounds every year and bilateral trade between the two countries could increase to 25.5 billion pounds ($34 billion) by 2024. With this step, consumers in India will be able to get premium whiskey at affordable rates.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer reached India on Wednesday (October 8, 2025) on a two-day visit. Earlier, during the plane journey, he had shared a funny incident on his Instagram. In which he is telling the passengers that your Prime Minister is in the cockpit. No, this is not an air safety announcement.

Keir Starmer said these things while greeting the passengers on British Airways flight 9100 to Mumbai. Let us tell you that Starmer is running Britain’s biggest ever trade mission in India. He said that it is really wonderful to have all of you with us. I look forward to working with you as we explore all the opportunities in our new free trade agreement.

Reached India with more than 125 businessmen and officials
Starmer’s mid-air message to more than 125 businessmen and officials was not just about cabin camaraderie but was also a symbolic start to what London hopes will be a major economic partnership with New Delhi.

On the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the British PM has arrived on a two-day visit to India. During this visit, both the leaders will take stock of the progress made in all aspects of the India-UK comprehensive strategic partnership in line with Vision 2035. Let us tell you that India-UK Free Trade Agreement (FTA) has been signed in July 2025.

what is fta
The focus of the Modi-Starmer bilateral talks will be on the opportunities presented by the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), better known as the FTA, which will remove tariffs on more than 90 per cent of goods once approved by the UK Parliament.

Heald, Chairman of the UK India Business Council (UKIBC), said that the UK-India Corridor is one of the most promising economic relationships globally and we look forward to supporting growth based on innovation, opportunity and mutual ambition. Heald will also address a session on small and medium enterprises in India.
