Counting of votes for assembly elections is going on in five states of the country including West Bengal. The states where election results will be declared include, apart from West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Assam and Union Territory Puducherry.

West Bengal Assembly Election Results (Bengal Election Result 2026 LIVE)

There are 294 assembly seats in West Bengal, out of which votes are being counted on only 293. Voting was held here in two phases. In the first phase, voting was held on 152 seats on 23 April, while in the second phase, voting was held on 142 seats on 29 April. Here Mamata Banerjee is trying to return to power for the fourth consecutive time, while BJP is fighting to come to power this time. About 92 percent voting took place in this election. Most of the focus is on Bhawanipur seat because Mamata Banerjee herself is contesting the elections from here, BJP’s Subhendu Adhikari is giving her competition.

Assam Assembly Election Results (Assam Election Result 2026 LIVE)

Voting was held on 9 April on all 126 assembly seats of Assam. Here BJP is trying to come to power for the third consecutive time under the leadership of Himanta Biswa Sarma. Whereas Congress had contested the elections under the leadership of Gaurav Gogoi. This time there has been a record of more than 85 percent voting in the state.

Tamil Nadu Assembly Election Results (Tamil Nadu Election Result 2026 LIVE)

Voting for 234 assembly seats in Tamil Nadu was held in a single phase on April 23. Breaking the previous record of voting here, the public has voted more than 85 percent. The DMK alliance under the leadership of Chief Minister Stalin is trying to come to power for the third time, while the AIADMK is fighting to come to power. While BJP’s alliance is with AIADMK, Congress is with DMK. Whereas this time with the entry of actor Vijay’s party TVK, the contest may become triangular.

Kerala Assembly Election Results (Kerala Election Result 2026 LIVE)

Voting for 140 assembly seats in Kerala was held on April 9 itself. This time 78.27 percent voting took place here. While Pinarayi Vijayan is trying to come to power for the third consecutive time, the UDF under the leadership of Congress is trying to form a coalition government. Voting for 30 seats in the Union Territory of Puducherry was also held on April 9. 89.97 percent voting took place in the Union Territory.

Counting of votes has started after the assembly elections of five states including West Bengal, Kerala and Assam. The initial trends in Bengal have seen a tough contest between the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Trinamool Congress. BJP and TMC are ahead on 5 seats each. Whereas BJP’s dominance has been seen in Assam. The trends of Kerala and Tamil Nadu have also come to the fore.

Bhawanipur seat of Bengal has been much discussed. Mamta Banerjee has contested elections from this seat. She is leading in the initial trends. Good performance of BJP has been seen in Malda. According to the trends, BJP is leading on 3 seats of Malda. Talking about Assam, BJP is leading on 3 seats. While Congress is leading on one seat. If we talk about Tamil Nadu, DMK and its allies are leading on 9 seats. Whereas AIADMK is leading on only 3 seats.

Bharatiya Janata Party’s dominance in Puducherry!

Counting of votes is going on after the assembly elections in Puducherry also. In the initial trends, Bharatiya Janata Party is leading on 13 seats. While Congress and its allies are leading on 4 seats.

Kerala’s first trend also came to light

Counting of votes is going on in Kerala also. LEFT is leading on 61 seats in the state. While Congress is leading on 64 seats. There is currently a tough competition going on in Kerala. Other parties are leading on 5 seats.
