After the game of religious conversion in medical colleges in Uttar Pradesh came to light, the government has taken a big step, under which instructions have been given to form a special cell in all the medical institutions of the state to stop religious conversion. UP Governor and Chancellor Anandiben Patel has taken this decision regarding prevention of religious conversion in all the medical colleges.

Taking seriously the recent cases of alleged conversion in King George’s Medical University (KGMU) and Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS) in Lucknow, Governor Anandi Ben Patel has taken this important step.

Special cell will be formed to stop religious conversion

On the basis of the letter of Dr. Sudhir M. Bobde, Officer on Special Duty to the Governor, Vice Chancellor of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, Dr. Amit Devgan has issued instructions to all the affiliated medical and dental colleges to immediately constitute ‘Prevention of Conversion Cell’. The university administration has asked all the colleges to provide information about cell formation soon.

Instructions given to all medical-dental colleges

After this order, now a special cell will be formed in all medical and dental colleges to stop conversion. Which will run awareness campaigns among students, resident doctors and staff and will keep a vigilant eye on any suspicious activity.

The objective of this cell will be to ensure a safe and healthy environment in the educational campus, to take immediate action on the complaints received as per rules, to provide information about rules, rights and responsibilities. Following the instructions of the Governor, preparations have been intensified to further tighten the monitoring system in medical institutions across the state.

Let us tell you that recently in KGMU, Lucknow, a case of luring a girl into love jihad and religious conversion had come to light. In this case, resident doctor of pathology department, Rameez, was arrested. The accused first trapped the Hindu girl on the pretext of marriage and then pressurized her for conversion.

As the investigation is progressing regarding Dr. Rameez, accused in the forced conversion case in Lucknow, many shocking revelations are coming to light. Dr. Rameez’s Delhi blast Connection with accused Dr Parvez Ansari has also come to light. After which the security agencies have become alert. Both of them not only knew each other but also attended the same college at one time.

According to the investigating agencies, in the same year when Dr. Rameez took admission in MBBS in SN Medical College, Agra, Delhi bomb blast accused Dr. Parvez also took admission in MD in the same college. Both of them were present in the same college at one time where both of them also met.

‘Islamic Medicos’ group formed with Parvez

It is alleged that Dr. Rameez, along with Parvez Ansari, had created a WhatsApp group named ‘Islamic Medicos’. It is alleged that through this group, a conspiracy was hatched to organize Muslim students and convert the topper girl students by trapping them.

According to the investigating agencies, this group expanded to KGMU in Lucknow and here too the Islamic Medicos Group was formed and an attempt was made to bring all the Muslim students together on one platform. Through this, their brain washing and other activities were carried out.

STF investigated in SN College

As part of the investigation of this case, the STF team reached SN Medical College, Agra. STF summoned the complete records of 13 years of all junior and senior resident doctors from the year 2012 till now from the college. Both Dr. Rameez and Dr. Parvez had studied from SN Medical College, hence this step of STF is considered very important.

STF local unit Inspector Yatindra Sharma and Head Constable Ankit Gupta reached the college. The officials have asked the college principal, Dr. Prashant Gupta, to provide detailed records. According to STF, after getting the records, a complete profile of Dr. Rameez will be prepared.
