Khalid hanafi’s statement regarding minors: A minister of the interim Taliban government of Afghanistan has made objectionable remarks about non-Muslims. Khalid Hanfi, minister of cases of morality and misconduct in the Taliban government, has said that non-Muslims like Hindu and Sikh are ‘worse than animals’.

Khalid Hanfi’s statement comes at a time when the Taliban itself is divided into two groups and internal struggle is going on over power. Khalid Hanfi is the same leader who announced to ban Afghan women’s education and jobs, which was also approved by Hibetullah Akhundzada, the supreme leader of the Taliban.

According to Afghan International report, leaders of Afghan Sikh and Hindu migrants living in the United Kingdom have strongly condemned the objectionable statement of Khalid Hanfi. He described this statement and expressed deep concern about the safety of minorities living in Afghanistan. He says that no one has the right to insult other religion. He warned that such things can increase the threat to the remaining Sikhs and Hindus in Afghanistan. He also said that such statements can force people to leave the country for their safety and religious freedom.

Know who is Khalid Hanfi

Khalid Hanfi’s full name is Sheikh al-Hadith Mohammad Khalid Hanfi. He has studied in a madrasa. Khalid’s father, Habibullah, was a senior commander of the Taliban. Khalid was born in Kolam Shaheed village in Doabi district of Dabi district of Nuristan province of Afghanistan. He did his early studies from his grandfather and also did a little modern education. He has studied till 12th in total. After this, Khalid joined the Taliban and started working as a ‘Mujahideen’. During this time, he became a staunch thinking about jihad inside him and he became strict thoughts in terms of religion.

Hanfi has been a Taliban terrorist

Khalid Hanfi was involved in jihadi activities with his brother Maulvi Rustom during the first reign of Hanfi Taliban. He had also formed a group of jihadi fighters in Nimrose and Delram districts. Once he was badly injured in the encounter, but despite this he did not break his relations with Taliban. In today’s Taliban government, he is a “prevention of virtue and prevention of misconduct”. Hanfi is known for its strict attitude and strictly implements the Taliban’s fatwas (religious orders) and social restrictions.
