The Pakistani government has been stunned by the questions of Pakistani leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman. Maulana asked questions to Army Chief Asim Munir regarding the strike by Afghanistan and India. Maulana Fazlur Rehman, who reached Lyari in Karachi, asked Pakistani generals and leaders on December 21 that if you justify your attack on Kabul, then what wrong did India do by attacking Muridke and Bahawalpur (Operation Sindoor)?

These questions of Maulana Fazlur Rehman have created an earthquake in the politics of Pakistan. Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif is now seen giving clarification on this. He termed the comparison between Islamabad’s action against Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and the unprovoked action taken by India against Pakistan in May as wrong and unfair. Khawaja Asif said that our action and India’s attack are not the same and cannot be compared.

Khawaja Asif said in a post on

Khawaja Asif shaken by Fazlur Rehman’s questions
Without giving a direct answer to Fazlur Rehman’s questions, the Pakistani Defense Minister, reportedly referring to a UN report, said that the report released by the UN also makes it clear that the Indian attack was illegal and without evidence and Pakistan’s response was completely correct. He said that the international community and the United Nations are also concerned about terrorism under the rule of Afghan Taliban and said that the presence of terrorist organizations and terrorists infiltrating into Pakistan is a clear proof of this.

‘The government of Afghanistan is pro India’
In recent times, there has been tension in Pakistan’s relations with Afghanistan, because Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan remains the main cause of dispute between the two countries. Pakistan has demanded that the rulers of Kabul take action to stop cross-border terrorism. The Afghan Taliban has denied Islamabad’s allegations that terrorists are being allowed to use Afghan soil to carry out attacks in Pakistan. Maulana Fazlur Rehman had said in Lyari on December 21 that Pakistan wants an Afghanistan which is pro-Pakistan but the government of Afghanistan from Zahir Shah to Ashraf Ghani is pro India, not pro Pakistan. This has been happening continuously.

On the last day of Dubai Airshow, India’s indigenous fighter jet Tejas crashed, in which the pilot also died. Now a statement has come out from Pakistan on this accident. Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif expressed condolences to the family of the pilot who lost his life and the Indian Air Force. Along with this he said that competition with the neighboring country is only in the sky.

Khawaja Asif posted on social media platform

According to the information given on the forum’s ‘X’ account, ‘Pakistan Strategic Forum’ is an agency of defense analysts of Pakistan and allied countries, which provides strategic and military insights. Sharing the message of the forum, the minister said that ‘Unfortunately the Air Force pilot could not get out of the plane and did not survive the accident.’

Pakistan’s Defense Minister clarified that the competition with the Indian Air Force is limited to the sky only. ‘Pakistan Strategic Forum’ also expressed condolences in its X-post.

Pilot lost his life in the accident

Indian Air Force’s indigenous fighter jet LCA-Tejas crashed on 21 November, the last day of the Dubai Air Show held in UAE. An Air Force pilot died in this accident. Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas represented India at the Dubai Air Show. According to the local time of Dubai, at 2.10 pm on Friday, while performing acrobatics in the sky, the Tejas aircraft suddenly fell on the ground while low-flying. Its video is viral on social media. Pilot Wing Commander Namansh Syal was killed in this.

IAF forms inquiry committee to investigate Tejas crash

The Indian Air Force has set up a court of inquiry to find out the reasons for the fighter plane crash. The family of martyred Wing Commander Naman Syal has been associated with the Air Force earlier also. His father had served in the Medical Corps of the Indian Army. Naman’s wife is an officer in the Indian Air Force.

What is the specialty of Tejas fighter jet?

Tejas is a major force among Indian fighter jets. Its design and low cost operation are its main features. It is very light and capable of moving quickly in the air. Its avionics system has the latest cloud-based tech and ply by wire control. It is very easy for the pilot to handle. It also has the capability to keep missiles, smart bombs and advanced weapons. It does not easily come into the grip of the enemy.

After the blast near the Red Fort in Delhi, the restlessness of Pakistan, which gives shelter to terrorists, has increased. After the terrorist blast in Delhi, there was a blast in the court complex of Islamabad. Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Defense Minister Khawaja Asif have once again raised eyebrows regarding this. Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has taken responsibility for the attack in Islamabad, yet the clock of both the leaders is stuck on India.

‘PAK ready to fight war on two fronts’

Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said about the Delhi terrorist blast, “Till yesterday it was a gas cylinder blast. Now they are trying to call it a foreign conspiracy.” He said that India can accuse Pakistan anytime. Once again, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said, “Pakistan is ready to fight a war on two fronts. We are ready to fight a war on two fronts, on the eastern and western borders. Allah helped us in round one and He will help us in round two also.”

Why did Pakistan’s restlessness increase after the Delhi attack?

Pakistan’s eastern border is with India while its western border is with Afghanistan, regarding which the Defense Minister is making hollow threats. However, this restlessness of Pakistan is also justified. After the Pahalgam terrorist attack, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had given a clear message to the world that the culprits would not be spared. After this the Indian Army successfully carried out Operation Sindoor. After the Delhi blasts, PM Modi from Bhutan gave a message to the world that whoever is guilty will not be spared.

In such a situation, Pakistan has already got an idea of what India can do next. Pakistan has still not been able to forget the wounds received from Operation Sindoor, hence if this incident is carried out again from Pakistani soil then it will not be well off. In this whole atmosphere, Pakistan must have remembered the dreadful scene of Operation Sindoor.

Pakistan’s fear of Afghanistan

Regarding Afghanistan, Khawaja Asif wrote on the social media platform

Afghanistan is being continuously harassed by Pakistan. Pakistan is continuously alleging that the soil of Afghanistan is being used to attack us.

However, TTP had recently released a video and revealed its location to the Pakistan government. In the video, a TTP member described the Pakistani army and government as cruel and claimed that they do not have the capability to wage war against the Mujahideen. The TTP member has predicted the downfall of the Pakistani army and government in the video.

TTP members have claimed in this video that they are present in Punjab, Pakistan. This statement of TTP seems to be directly challenging Pakistani intelligence agencies.

12 people have died and 27 others have been injured in a blast outside the District Judicial Complex in Pakistan’s capital Islamabad. Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has called this blast a ‘wake up call’. He said that Pakistan is currently in a state of war. During this, Afghanistan was also targeted for not finding any solution to the peace agreement.

‘Islamabad blast a message from Kabul’

Khawaja Asif said, “Whoever thinks that the Pakistani Army is fighting this war in the Afghan-Pakistan border area and remote areas of Balochistan should take today’s suicide attack on the District Court of Islamabad as a warning. This is a war for the whole of Pakistan, in which the Pakistani Army is making sacrifices and making the people feel safe.”

The Pak Defense Minister said, “In such an environment, it would be meaningless to have any big hopes for successful talks with the government of Afghanistan. The government of Kabul can stop terrorism in Pakistan, but bringing this war to Islamabad is a message from Kabul, to which Pakistan is present with full force to respond.”

Threatened suicide attack in Islamabad

According to Pakistani newspaper Dawn, Pakistan Home Minister Mohsin Naqvi called the blast a suicide attack. He said, “The attacker stood outside the court for about 12 minutes. First he tried to go inside the court, but when he could not go inside, he targeted the police vehicle. We are investigating the incident from different angles. This is not an ordinary bomb blast.”

Pakistan’s interior minister said, “Things will become clear in the coming days and those involved will not be spared. Rangers and police will ensure that the security of international events being held in the capital is not compromised.”

Read this also: India said in UN after Delhi blast – We will have to adopt a policy of zero tolerance for arms smuggling from across the border.

After the peace talks held on 6-7 November in Istanbul, Turkey failed once again, the Taliban government of Afghanistan has given a strict warning to Pakistan. Taliban says that if Pakistan ‘tests the tolerance’ of the Afghan government, the situation may reach war.

Peace talks in Istanbul again inconclusive
In the latest talks between Pakistan and Afghan Taliban, it could not be decided whether Afghanistan will take written action against TTP terrorists using its land or not. After this disagreement the talks broke down again.

Taliban minister warned
Afghanistan’s Tribal Affairs Minister Noorullah Noori cautioned Pakistan and said that Pakistan should not test the limits of patience of Afghans. He said, ‘If war breaks out, both the elders and youth of Afghanistan will stand up to fight.’ Noori advised Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif not to trust his technology too much and said that he should look at the condition of America and Russia, who had to face defeat in Afghanistan. He also said that Pakistan’s Sindh and Punjab provinces are “not far away”, and if tensions increase, the situation may worsen.

Pakistan had warned of direct confrontation
Earlier, Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif had said that if the Istanbul talks fail, then Pakistan can go into direct conflict with the Taliban government. Taliban government spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid said that some groups of Pakistan army are not happy with the strong and stable government in Afghanistan. He said, these groups have always taken advantage of Afghanistan’s instability and crises. Now they want another conflict by making new excuses.

People lost their lives from both sides in the border conflict
Earlier, peace talks between Pakistan and Afghan Taliban started in Istanbul on Thursday, the aim of which was to deal with the issue of cross-border terrorism and to prevent tension between the two sides. There were casualties on both sides in the clash that took place between the soldiers deployed on the border on October 11.

Pakistan claims that at least 206 Afghan Taliban and 110 Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) members were killed in this clash, while 23 Pakistani soldiers were also killed. A ceasefire was agreed upon between the two sides on October 15, which was taken forward during talks held in Doha on October 19 and Istanbul on October 25.

The ongoing peace talks in Istanbul between Pakistan and Afghan Taliban have failed. Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif confirmed that the talks have ended without any success.

CNN-News18 quoted sources as saying that Khawaja Asif has said that the Taliban regime is not giving written guarantees to stop cross-border terrorism and also the mediators involved in this process are now fed up with the deadlock. Asif said, “The talks in Istanbul have failed.” He further said that he does not believe that another round of mediation will happen anytime soon.

Khwaja Asif accused Taliban
Khawaja Asif accused the Taliban of not being serious about tackling terrorism in the region and stressed that Islamabad will continue to use all necessary options to protect its people and sovereignty. Let us tell you that these failed talks took place amid increasing tension on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

Earlier this week, there was firing between Pakistan and Afghan armies near the Chaman border, breaking the temporary ceasefire. During that time officials from both sides were in Istanbul for peace talks.

Afghanistan blames Pakistan
According to the report of news agency AFP, Afghan military sources have claimed that Pakistan used light and heavy weapons and targeted civilian areas. Afghan forces reportedly opened fire out of respect for the ongoing talks. On the other hand, Islamabad denied the allegations and insisted that the firing was initiated by Afghanistan and Pakistani forces responded in a restrained and responsible manner.

Pakistan’s Information Ministry said in a post on X that we strongly reject the claims circulated by the Afghan side regarding today’s incident on the Pak-Afghan border in Chaman.

Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Mohammad Asif on Saturday (November 1, 2025) once again claimed to have a war on two fronts. This statement of Khawaja Asif has come at a time when Pakistan has recently agreed to a ceasefire after the conflict with Afghanistan last month.

Amid deteriorating relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan, Khawaja Asif has accused India. He said that India wants Pakistan to remain busy and entangled on both the eastern and western borders. He referred to the recent clashes with Afghanistan on the country’s western border and the conflict with India on the eastern border during Operation Sindoor in May.

Afghanistan works as a proxy for India- Asif

Pakistani Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has earlier also been accusing Afghanistan of acting as a proxy for India. They have even warned that Pakistan may get trapped in a situation of war on two fronts.

While speaking about India, Khawaja Asif said that Delhi has been waging a proxy war against Pakistan since the reign of Ashraf Ghani and now its evidence is being widely accepted. Talking to Geo News, he said that if needed, we will present evidence. India wants Pakistan to remain entangled on both the eastern and western borders.

Ceasefire agreement signed between Afghanistan and Pakistan in Istanbul

Regarding the recent ceasefire with Afghanistan, Pakistani Defense Minister Khawaja Asif expressed hope that the mediation of Qatar and Turkey will yield positive results. It is noteworthy that after the violent clashes on the Afghan-Pakistan border last month, on Thursday (October 30, 2025), both the countries held peace talks in Istanbul under the mediation of Qatar and Turkey and agreed to maintain the ceasefire. The conflict between these two countries started when Taliban Foreign Minister Aamir Khan Muttaki was on his visit to India.

The ongoing peace talks between Pakistan and Afghanistan in Turkey remained inconclusive, after which Pakistan resorted to threats. Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif threatened Afghanistan and described it as a ‘graveyard’. Asif said that whenever Pakistan wants, it will push Taliban to hide in the hills of Tora-Bora. Pak Defense Minister said that on repeated appeals of brotherly countries, Pakistan had come for peace talks, but the ‘malignant rhetoric’ of Afghan officials continued.

Open warning given to Taliban

Khawaja Asif said that Pakistan will not need to make full use of its weapons to completely remove the Taliban rule in Afghanistan. If necessary, the Afghan Taliban will be defeated again and sent to Tora Bora. He also said that if Taliban’s name figures in any terrorist attack or suicide blast in Pakistan, then the Afghan Taliban will have to bear the ‘bitter consequences’.

What allegations did Taliban make against PAK?

A day earlier, in a conversation with retired Pakistani Army Major Adil Raja on Tuesday, Qari Saeed Khoshati, advisor to the Culture Ministry of the Afghan Taliban government and a senior member of the Haqqani network, had alleged that Pakistan attacked Afghanistan because Afghan Foreign Minister Aamir Khan Muttaki was in India at that time. According to him, some rulers of Pakistan do not want Afghanistan to have good relations with India for decades.

Afghanistan accused ISI

Afghan officials also alleged that the responsibility for the failure of talks in Turkey rested on Major General Shahab Aslam, the special operations chief of Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI, who was leading the Pakistani delegation. Afghans say that Shahab Aslam spoke in a threatening tone during the talks and ISI was pressurizing the Afghan representatives to accept the conditions for settling Pakistan’s terrorist groups in Afghan territory and allowing Pakistan to operate in Afghan territory.

The peace talks between Pakistan and Afghanistan in Türkiye’s capital Istanbul once again ended without any result. The objective of this meeting was to reach a consensus on the ongoing border tension between the two countries and the activities of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), but the talks broke down due to Pakistan’s tactics. According to sources, Pakistan sought permission to enter into Afghan territory and take action against TTP hideouts, to which Kabul expressed strong objection. There was a heated debate between the two sides on this issue and the atmosphere of talks deteriorated.

The Afghan side had assured Pakistan that it would not allow its soil to be used for anti-Pakistan activities. In return, Kabul demanded Islamabad to stop violating its airspace and stop flights of American drones. Initially Pakistan seemed to agree, but after a sudden “unknown call” its stand changed. According to NDTV report, after this call, Pakistan admitted for the first time that it has an agreement to fly drones with a foreign country (hint American), which cannot be canceled.

Afghanistan distanced itself from the meeting

Afghanistan took this revelation seriously and distanced itself from the meeting. This attitude of Pakistan was shocking for both Türkiye and Qatar, who were the mediators of this talk. After this, Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif in his statement described Afghanistan as “Pakistan’s pawn” and warned that if Pakistan is attacked, the reply will be given with “fifty percent more force”.

Afghanistan gave a blunt answer

Afghanistan also responded bluntly. Its Home Ministry spokesperson Abdul Matin Kani said, “We do not have nuclear weapons, but Afghans have never bowed before anyone. Which is enough to teach Pakistan a lesson.” Afghan Defense Minister Maulvi Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid also said that “TTP is an internal problem of Pakistan. Its members are Pakistani citizens, against whom Afghanistan has no jurisdiction to take action.”

In this way, Pakistan’s ‘dual policy’ has once again come to the fore. While on one hand he talks about peace, on the other hand he continues to make efforts to encroach on the sovereignty of his neighboring country. The breakdown of talks in Istanbul is being considered a major diplomatic blow for the entire South Asia including India, America, Türkiye and Qatar.

Tension between Pakistan and Afghanistan has increased once again. Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif on Tuesday (October 28) accused the Taliban government of Afghanistan of playing into the hands of India and said that if Kabul tried to attack Islamabad, Pakistan would respond with 50 times more force.

Speaking in a Geo News programme, Asif said, “The people running the government in Kabul are dancing like puppets on the tunes of Delhi. India is plotting against Pakistan by making Afghanistan a pawn.” He said that the recent talks between Pakistan and Afghanistan in Türkiye failed several times due to the withdrawal of the Afghan side. Asif said, “Whenever there was a situation of agreement, Kabul intervened and withdrew it,” Asif said.

Khwaja Asif accused India

Asif alleged that India wants the low intensity war against Pakistan to continue and Afghanistan remains its means. He said, “After the defeat on its western border, India has now adopted the strategy of destabilizing Pakistan through Kabul.” According to sources, the talks mediated by Türkiye and Qatar ended without any concrete result. Pakistan’s main demand was that Afghanistan should take concrete action against terrorist organizations like Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) operating in its territory.

What did Pakistan’s Information Minister say?

On this issue, Pakistan’s Information Minister Atta Ullah Tarar also said that in the Istanbul talks, the Afghan side kept deviating from the core issue again and again and kept avoiding taking responsibility. In the last few weeks, many soldiers and civilians have died in border skirmishes, creating a war-like situation between the two countries. Although a temporary ceasefire was reached in Doha brokered by Qatar on 19 October, it could not end the tension permanently.

Khawaja Asif said in a stern tone, “Even if Afghanistan raises its eyes towards Islamabad, we will gouge out its eyes. Afghanistan should understand that Pakistan will not compromise its security at any cost.”
