Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said on Saturday (1 November 2025) that his country is currently in a state of two-front war. He said that India is trying to entangle Pakistan on both the eastern and western borders so that its military and economic strength gets weakened. This statement has come at a time when recently there were violent clashes on the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan and with the mediation of Qatar and Turkey, both the countries agreed to a temporary ceasefire.

Making serious allegations against India, Asif said that New Delhi has been using Afghanistan for a proxy war for a long time. He said that since the reign of Ashraf Ghani, India has been carrying out attacks against Pakistan from behind the scenes. Now we have concrete evidence of this, which will be presented when the time comes. He claimed that the current Taliban government is also working under the influence of India and said that whatever is happening in Kabul, the remote is in the hands of Delhi.

Recent clashes and echoes of Operation Sindoor

After the recent firing on the border of Pakistan and Afghanistan, relations between the two countries have become more tense. In talks held in Istanbul mediated by Türkiye and Qatar, both sides agreed to a ceasefire, but tension still remains on the border. Taking aim at India, Khawaja Asif said that it can take advantage of this opportunity and play some dirty trick on the eastern border. He said that Pakistan is fully prepared for every challenge. His statement has come after Operation Sindoor, when in May 2025, in response to the Pahalgam terrorist attack, India took action against terrorist bases located in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) and across the border.

Khwaja Asif told the terms of the agreement

Everything depends on this one stream. The Taliban administration and Afghanistan’s Defense Ministry did not immediately respond to requests for comment. The minister said that the agreement between Pakistan, Afghanistan, Turkey and Qatar clearly states that there will be no infiltration.

Khawaja Asif said that we have a ceasefire agreement, provided there is no violation of the already implemented agreement. He alleged that Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, an organization of many Islamic terrorist groups, attacks Pakistan in collusion with the Taliban. Afghan cricketers killed in Pakistan airstrike

Recently, 10 people including three cricketers were killed in an airstrike by Pakistan, after which there was a 48-hour ceasefire between the two countries and then an agreement was reached to maintain peace. Afghanistan claims that attacks were started again by Pakistan without any provocation. Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) said that at least three Afghan cricketers were killed in Pakistani air strike in Paktika province.

This dispute has come up at a time when the Indus Water Treaty is already postponed between India and Pakistan. Water data was exchanged under the treaty, but India stopped it after the Pahalgam attack in April 2025. Khwaja Asif alleged that India is providing bombs and weapons to Pakistan’s banned organizations like Balochistan Liberation Army Bla and Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan TTP to spread chaos in Pakistan.

‘Pakistan will take the matter to the International Court of Court’
He said, ‘India is supporting bloodshed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. BLA and TTP are working as representatives of India. Their goal is to spread chaos in all four provinces of Pakistan. Pakistan’s Defense Minister, pointing to the incidents in Canada and the United States, accused India of keeping a global track record of sponsoring terrorism. He said that due to the alleged involvement in the Gujarat riots, the entry of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi into America was once banned.

On canceling India’s Indus Water Agreement, Khwaja Asif said that it is very dangerous. Pakistan will take the matter to the International Court of Court.
