There was a huge uproar at the program of Bhojpuri artist Khesari Lal Yadav on Wednesday (April 01, 2026) evening at ‘Arjun Babu Cattle Fair’ located in Garhan, Muzaffarpur. There was so much uproar that the police had to resort to lathi charge. Khesari Lal, known as ‘Hit Machine’, had to return midway through the program.

The situation in this fair organized by former minister and BJP leader Ramsurat Rai got so bad that the crowd even started pelting stones during the lathicharge. There are reports of many people getting injured in the violent clash.

Why did this commotion happen?

It is being said that a large number of people had come to see Khesari Lal Yadav. When the program started, Khesari Lal Yadav’s fans started trying to get close to the stage to make reels and take selfies. A minor altercation took place between the security personnel of the fair committee and the villagers. After this the dispute took a violent turn.

Within no time bricks and stones started coming. Due to the uproar, traffic on the National Highway came to a standstill for about three to four hours. Many videos of the incident are becoming increasingly viral on social media. It can be clearly seen that from one side the security personnel are chasing away the crowd, while from the other side the angry people are pelting stones at them.

In this matter, Muzaffarpur SSP Kantesh Kumar Mishra said that permission was taken to organize the fair. 150 policemen, in-charges of four police stations and a DSP were deployed. The SSP has accused the organizers of the chaos.

The fair will continue: Ramsurat Rai

In this matter, Ramsurat Rai said, “Due to the followers of Khesari Lal Yadav, the barricading was broken for the sake of reels and selfies. The police cooperated. The program went on for a few hours. The fair will continue. There is nothing to worry about.”
