Be it Parliament, election rallies or statements on TV… leaders leave no stone unturned in taunting each other. The names of Rahul Gandhi and Union Minister Kiren Rijiju are also included in it. But when these two leaders met each other beyond politics, the atmosphere became full of laughter. On 6 December, both the leaders reached Parliament to pay tribute to Dr. Ambedkar on his death anniversary. As soon as they passed each other, both of them smiled and started joking.

Unique scene of friendship captured on camera
At first both the leaders smiled at each other from a distance. Then Rahul Gandhi moved forward and shook hands with Kiren Rijiju. It felt like old friends meeting after years. Then the conversation started.

Rijiju said laughingly, ‘I was a little scared…’ During this, Congress leaders Rajiv Shukla and Udit Raj were also present along with Rahul Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi said jokingly, ‘Come to my house, we will exercise together and fight.’

Then Rijiju said that I am afraid of judo.

Tribute to Dr. Ambedkar on his birth anniversary
Today, tributes are being paid to Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar on his death anniversary across the country. He wrote, ‘Remembering Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar on Mahaparinirvan Diwar, his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to justice, equality and constitutionalism will continue to guide our national journey.

On the first day of the winter session of Parliament, the opposition created a ruckus demanding discussion on many issues including SIR, due to which the first day was marred by uproar. In such a situation, it is now considered almost certain that the issue of SIR is going to dominate the Parliament on Tuesday (2 November 2025) also. In the all-party meeting on Sunday (30 November 2025) before the commencement of the Parliament session, the opposition parties indicated that they will strongly raise the SIR issue during the session and the responsibility for disruption of the proceedings will be on the government.

What was said by the government on SIR?

Kiren Rijiju (Parliamentary Affairs Minister): “The opposition’s demand for discussion on SIR is under consideration of the government. It has not been rejected. The government is not against discussing any topic including SIR, election reforms, some time should be given to respond. Do not put any condition on the time limit for discussion on SIR election reforms.”

Chirag Paswan (Union Minister and LJP MP): “Just on an issue like SIR, the opposition will spoil the entire session of Parliament. Such things affect first-time MPs who really want to work for their constituency and raise issues in the House. The Prime Minister’s concern is justified because we have only five years to work for our people and the country.”

Sanjay Jha (JDU MP): “The last session was also wasted on the issue of SIR. At that time the SIR process was going on in Bihar. The Election Commission had asked all the parties to lodge their complaints if there was any disparity in the process, but no party lodged any complaint.”

Jagdambika Pal (BJP MP): “If they (opposition) create ruckus in the House and gather in the well, they do not want discussion on SIR, they want to stop the proceedings. What discussion do they want on SIR? The people of Bihar have given their mandate and answer on the issues of SIR.”

What did the opposition say?

Priyanka Gandhi (Congress MP): “The electoral situation and pollution are big issues. Let’s discuss them. What is Parliament for? This is not drama. Speaking on issues and raising them is not drama. Drama means not allowing democratic discussion on issues of public concern.”

Saugata Roy (TMC MP): “The opposition will stick to its principles. There are major issues like SIR and terrorist attack in Delhi, which the opposition will continuously raise. We will also talk about the issue of non-payment of dues to the states.”

Abhishek Banerjee (TMC MP): “The opposition is demanding a debate on SIR. Is this a drama? If raising people’s voice is drama then people will answer them in the next elections. 40 people including BLOs were killed. They have blamed the Election Commission. Where is the accountability of the government? We are not against SIR, but we are against the way and the way it is being implemented.”

Akhilesh Yadav (MP Samajwadi Party): “The concern about SIR is becoming real today. How will a person fulfill his dreams if votes are cut? The SIR that is going on right now is not to strengthen democracy but to cut votes. BLOs at the grassroots level are not even able to fill the forms. Many of them are under stress. When there are no immediate elections in UP then why this hurry?”

Kanimozhi (DMK MP): “The opposition wants a discussion about the SIR, the country’s electoral process and the protection of democracy. This is what we are requesting.”

The border dispute between India and China regarding Arunachal Pradesh is decades old, but adding to this dispute, a new case has come to light, in which a woman resident of Arunachal Pradesh has been severely tortured in China. The woman has alleged that the Chinese authorities had refused to accept her Indian passport as valid. Chinese officials detained and tortured the woman for 18 hours at Shanghai Airport.

Pema Wang Thongdok, a resident of Arunachal Pradesh, said that Chinese immigration officials detained her at the airport for 18 hours on Friday (November 21, 2025). He claimed that Arunachal Pradesh is a part of China, hence the Indian passport of a woman born in Arunachal is invalid. Actually, Pema Wang Thongdok was going from London to Japan on November 21, 2025, but in the meantime her plane stopped for three hours at Shanghai Airport in China, where Chinese officials stopped the woman and took her into custody.

The woman gave information about the incident on X

Pema Wang Thongdok, a resident of Arunachal Pradesh, posted about the incident in China on social media platform In the post, Pema said, ‘Due to China Immigration and China Eastern Airlines Corporation Limited, I was detained for more than 18 hours at Shanghai Airport on Friday (November 21, 2025). They declared my Indian passport invalid because my birthplace is in Arunachal Pradesh, which they declared to be Chinese territory.

This time the winter session of Parliament will run from December 1 to December 19. President Draupadi Murmu has approved the proposal of the Central Government. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju shared this information on social media platform ‘X’. He said that this session will provide an opportunity for constructive and meaningful discussions and this will further strengthen democracy.

Kiren Rijiju said- the session will fulfill the expectations of the public
Rijiju wrote in his post that the President has given permission to convene the winter session of Parliament from December 1 to December 19, 2025, which will depend on the exigencies of parliamentary work. He described it as a creative and meaningful session, which will try to live up to the expectations of the public.

Commotion and low productivity in monsoon session
The monsoon session, which began on July 21, ended on August 21, a day before its scheduled time. This session was disrupted due to continuous opposition and repeated uproar. The opposition was demanding discussion on the Special Summary Revision (SIR) of the voter list in Bihar, due to which the proceedings had to be postponed several times.

How was the functioning of the Lok Sabha?
The productivity of Lok Sabha in the monsoon session was around 31 percent, while the productivity of Rajya Sabha was recorded at around 39 percent. A total of fourteen bills were introduced in the Lok Sabha in this session. Of these, twelve bills were passed by the Lok Sabha, while the Rajya Sabha approved fifteen bills. A total of fifteen bills were approved by both the houses and one bill was withdrawn from the Lok Sabha.

During the session, a special discussion was also held on India’s successful anti-terrorism operation ‘Operation Sindoor’. This discussion was held in the Lok Sabha on 28 and 29 July and in the Rajya Sabha on 29 and 30 July. This operation was done in response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam.

Congress asked- Why was the session kept so short?
Congress leader Jairam Ramesh expressed his displeasure over the dates of the winter session. He said that normally this session starts between 20th to 23rd November and lasts for 3 to 4 weeks, but this time it has been kept for only 15 days starting from 1st December. Jairam Ramesh raised the question as to what the government is trying to avoid.

He asked whether the session has been shortened due to the increasing pollution of Delhi, or does the government not have any bill or issue to discuss? He also hinted whether this move is a sign that Lok Sabha elections may be announced soon. According to him, this is the first time that the government seems to be trying to dispose of the session so quickly.

The country’s Union Minister Kiren Rijiju said in a program organized at Jamia Millia Islamia University that India is a country which no one can destabilize. He said, ‘There were movements and coups in our neighbors Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. In countries like Libya, external forces ruined everything, but this is not possible in India, because our Constitution is so strong that the solution to every challenge is present in it. This country can never be destroyed.

Disagreement is also necessary in democracy, but…
Rijiju said that India’s democracy is one of the most powerful democracies in the world. He said, ‘We were born in a country which is difficult to imagine. Both social media and media are very active, and everyone can express their views openly. But we should not do anything that harms the country or creates a divided society. He also commented on the uproar in Parliament and said, ‘Sometimes there is noise in Parliament, but that is the beauty of democracy. If there is no debate and conflict in Parliament, then where will it happen?

‘If Hindus and Muslims move together, the country will progress further’
Rijiju said that there are six recognized minority communities in India, of which Muslims have the largest population. He told that the number of Parsi community is decreasing, hence the government started ‘Jio Parsi’ program so that this community does not disappear. He said, ‘It is the responsibility of the government to think about small communities also.’ The Union Minister said that Hindus and Muslims are two big communities in India, and if both the communities come together for the development of the country, then all other communities will also move forward in this journey. He said that Jamia University has always been giving the message of positive thinking and unity and no negative message has ever gone from here.

India will become a developed nation by 2047- Rijiju
Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Developed India 2047’, Rijiju said, ‘India is growing at the rate of 7% today while the world is growing at an average pace of 2%. The way the country is progressing, we are confident that India will become a developed nation by 2047.

Regret of not learning Urdu language – Union Minister
At the end of his speech, Rijiju said that he now realizes that not learning Urdu was a shortcoming. He said, ‘If I had learned Urdu, I would have been writing poetry among you today. There is no other language in the world as beautiful as Urdu. Recalling the historical legacy of Jamia, he said that ‘the foundation of Jamia University was laid due to great people like Mahatma Gandhi, Tagore, Sarojini Naidu and Maulana Mohammad Ali Johar. Jamia will always have a special place in my heart.

Amidst the Bihar Assembly election campaign, RJD leader and Grand Alliance CM face Tejashwi Yadav said on Monday (October 27, 2025) that if his government is formed, he will throw the Waqf Act in the dustbin. Now politics has intensified on this statement of his. Now Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju has hit back at Tejashwi’s statement. He sarcastically said that the state government cannot remove this law now.

Kiren Rijiju while talking to IANS said, ‘It is surprising that Tejashwi Yadav calls himself a contender for the post of Chief Minister and he does not know that the state government cannot remove any law passed in the Parliament. They do not have knowledge of the Constitution who are talking like this.

He said, ‘The people of Bihar and the people of the country are watching and laughing. What kind of language is this? In my opinion Tejashwi has no knowledge. Secondly, he is so yearning for the position that he will say anything. To get the votes of Muslims, they will say that they will throw the Waqf Act in the dustbin. How can he say that?’

Kiren Rijiju congratulated Chhath festival

On Chhath, the great festival of folk faith, Kiren Rijiju said, ‘Chhath Puja is very special. Worshiping the setting and rising sun is for the good of the world. This great festival binds all the communities and sections of the society together in one thread. I wish everyone good luck on the occasion of Chhath Puja.

What did the Union Minister say about the fodder scam?,

On the statement of former CBI Additional Director Upendra Nath Biswas regarding the fodder scam, the Union Minister said, ‘During the time of Congress, there was no such thing as system, they believed only in one family. You already know the mentality of the Congress Party and its leaders. For him, a family is everything. Be it CBI or court, he ran everything as per his wish. Never respected the Constitution or the law. The revelations made by the officials have now made it clear to everyone how Congress used to put pressure on state governments to remove them from power and how it used to harass people in those governments without any reason.

Congress and RJD ruled by misleading Muslims – Rijiju

Targeting Congress and RJD, Kiren Rijiju said, ‘Congress and RJD ruled for many decades by misleading and deceiving the Muslims, but now Muslims have started understanding, gradually they too will realize the truth. Gradually Muslims will also understand that the country is progressing under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and it is their responsibility to keep everyone safe.

These days a video of a Russian woman is becoming increasingly viral in India. In this video, a female tourist is scolding a group of children for throwing garbage on the road. After the video went viral on social media, many internet users have given their reaction on it. This video has been shared from an Instagram account named Meena Finds.
The woman shared the video and wrote this

While sharing the video, the woman wrote the caption, “This is why education is important. The conversation with Indian children has gone wrong.” In the video, the woman asks the children to pick up the garbage again if it falls on the ground. However, the children ignore his words. To this the woman says, “What did you do? You dropped the garbage. Pick it up and put it in the dustbin.” However, the children do not take the woman’s words seriously and start spitting garbage on the ground.

After dismissing Haris Rauf in the Asia Cup final played between India Pakistan in Dubai, Jasprit Bumrah’s plane down reaction is becoming fiercely viral. People are very fond of it on social media. Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has also shared a screenshot of Rauf’s out -stump and Bumrah’s gesture.

Kiren Rijiju, while giving the caption, wrote that Pakistan is entitled to this punishment. India won the championship for the ninth time by defeating Pakistan by 5 wickets in the Asia Cup final last night. The tournament was also in controversy due to the inflammatory gesture of Pakistani cricketers and refusing to join hands with Team India’s Pakistan players.

Haris Rauf did a poor act
During the India-Pakistan match, at the Super Force Stage, Rauf had indicated ‘aircraft below’ towards Indian fans, obviously a gesture towards Pakistan’s baseless claims of killing 6 Indian aircraft during Operation Sindoor. Since then, Team India was waiting for its opportunity and that opportunity came when Bumrah’s fast ball uprooted Rauf’s off-stump last night. After this, the Indian fast bowler replied to Rauf in his special style.

Team India did not take the trophy from Pakistani minister
After India’s victory in this exciting match, the prize distribution ceremony saw a major developments when Team India refused to take the trophy from Asian Cricket Council chief and Pakistani Minister Mohsin Naqvi. Due to this, Naqvi left the stage and the Indian team celebrated without taking the trophy.

On this magnificent victory of India, President, PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Chief Ministers of many states also posted on social media and congratulated Team India.
