The Trinamool Congress (TMC) of West Bengal has suffered a shock one more time. On Saturday (August 09, 2025), Lok Sabha MP Kalyan Banerjee described the party MP Mahua Moitra as ‘very poor level’ and ‘waste of time’. Kalyan Banerjee said, ‘He (Mahua Moitra) is not of my subject. She is of very poor level. There is no point in discussing them. Because of them I became bad for many people. It was a waste of time and energy. It was my fault to pay attention to them.

He also thanked a junior lawyer, who sent a message to him on the current dispute. He said, ‘I have a junior lawyer brother. They messaged me. He inspired me and realized that Mahua Moitra is no longer a subject for me. Now I have to do a lot of work.

Mahua Moitra has no response
There has been no response to this statement from Mahua Moitra. According to party sources, there has been a conflict between Kalyan Banerjee and Mahua Moitra several times, causing the party leadership to face discomfort. Both of them have accused each other of ignoring the standards of misbehavior and civilized dialogue.
