Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday (November 9, 2025) alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are involved in vote theft and no matter where they go, they will be caught one day. Addressing an election rally in Bihar’s Kishanganj, Rahul Gandhi said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) are conspiring to divide the country, while the India Alliance is working towards uniting the country.

He said, ‘Modi, Shah and the Election Commission have no answer to the allegations of our vote theft, because the truth has now come before the public. The Prime Minister and Shah may go anywhere, but they will be caught for vote theft.

25 lakh voters in Haryana’s voter list are fake – Rahul

Rahul Gandhi claimed that he has recently exposed large-scale vote theft in Haryana. He said, ‘There are about two crore voters in Haryana, but about 25 lakh fake names were found in the voter list. Till date neither Modi nor Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar has shown the courage to say that Rahul Gandhi is lying.

The Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha said, ‘If the people unite and stop vote theft, then India Alliance government will be formed 100 percent in Bihar. He said, ‘In Bihar, I can say with full confidence that the Grand Alliance will form the next government. There is 100 percent possibility, but you have to stop BJP’s vote theft. On the day of voting, it is the duty of every youth, laborer and farmer to thwart vote theft.

BJP And RSS The aim is to divide the society- Rahul

In a rally in Seemanchal region, Rahul Gandhi said, ‘The aim of BJP and RSS is to divide the society and divert attention from vote theft. He said, ‘Modi and Shah are afraid of the public voice. He has betrayed the soul of India. They will be caught.

Rahul Gandhi held the economic policies of Prime Minister Modi and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar responsible for the plight of employment in the state. He said, ‘Today the people of Bihar are building roads, schools, colleges and hospitals from Bengaluru to Arunachal Pradesh. Why can’t such hardworking people get employment in their own state? He said, ‘Nitish Kumar should answer why in 20 years he did not set up food processing units in a state with abundant crops like fish and makhana?’

Chief Minister does not want to provide employment to the youth of Bihar- Rahul

Gandhi said in the meeting in Purnia, ‘The Chief Minister does not want to provide employment to the youth of Bihar. The youth of Bihar no longer want to remain as labourers. He alleged that land is being given to industrialists in the state at cheap rates.

Rahul said, ‘Amit Shah says that industrial development cannot take place in Bihar due to lack of land. But this same government finds a way to give 1,000 acres of land to a big businessman at a cheap price. He pointed towards a proposed power plant in Bhagalpur district. Gandhi said, ‘I say with full confidence that the BJP-led government will not come to power in Bihar next time and Nitish Kumar will never be able to become the Chief Minister again.’

Grand alliance’s CM candidate Tejashwi Yadav made a big announcement in an election rally on Sunday (26 October) in Bihar elections. He said that if India Bloc comes to power in Bihar, the Waqf (Amendment) Act will be thrown into the dustbin.

‘No compromise with communal forces’

Addressing successive public rallies in Muslim-dominated Katihar, Kishanganj and Araria districts, Tejashwi Yadav said, “His father, RJD chief Lalu Prasad, never compromised with communal forces in the country. But Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has always supported such forces, and it is because of him that the RSS and its allies are spreading communal hatred in the state as well as in the country. The BJP should be called the ‘Burn India Party’.”

He further said, “If India Bloc comes to power in the state, we will throw the Waqf Act in the dustbin.” Let us tell you that the ruling BJP-led NDA has called this law a step towards transparency and empowerment for backward Muslims and women in the community, while the opposition has criticized it alleging that it violates the rights of Muslims.

‘Will tear the Waqf bill’

On Saturday (October 25), RJD MLC Mohammad Qari Sohaib courted controversy by saying that if Tejashwi Yadav becomes the CM of Bihar, all bills including the Waqf bill will be torn up, drawing a barrage of attacks from his opposition, who questioned how a central law can be changed by the Chief Minister of a state.

Congress has released another list of candidates for Bihar Assembly elections. Congress has announced the names of five candidates in the third list on Saturday (October 18). The party has made Shashwat Kedar Pandey the candidate from Narkatiaganj seat. Mohammad Kamrul Hoda has been fielded from Kishanganj assembly seat.

Along with this, Congress has made Mohammad Irfan Alam its candidate from Kasba Assembly seat. Jitendra Yadav has been given ticket from Purnia seat. Apart from this, Mohan Srivastava has been made the candidate from Gaya city.

Congress has fielded 54 candidates so far

Congress has already released two lists. The party has so far announced the names of candidates for 54 seats in Bihar. There were names of 48 candidates in the first list, while only one candidate was named in the second list. Among the candidates whose names were in the first list, party state unit chief Rajesh Ram was fielded from Kutumba seat and CLP leader Shakeel Ahmed Khan from Kadwa. The party announced the candidates even before finalizing the seat sharing arrangements with the grand alliance partners including RJD.

In 2020, Congress had fielded candidates on 70 seats.

It is noteworthy that in the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Congress had contested 70 seats, out of which it was able to win only 19. The Grand Alliance consists of RJD, Congress, CPI (ML), CPI and Mukesh Sahni’s Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP). Even now, consensus has not been reached on many seats among these constituent parties. In such a situation, the allies of the Grand Alliance are fighting against each other in the election field on many seats.

Assembly elections in Bihar will be held in two phases on 6th and 11th November. In the first phase, voting will be held on 121 seats, while in the second phase, voting will be held on 122 seats, while the counting of votes will be done on November 14.

There are signs of rain in Bihar in the first week of October. Today (Wednesday) heavy rain alert has been issued in seven districts of the state by Patna Meteorological Center. These seven districts include Kishanganj, Araria, Katihar, Purnia, Bhagalpur, Madhepura and Supaul. Along with lightning shining in these districts, there has also been a warning of thunderstorms. On the other hand, if there is heavy rains, the Dussehra fair may fade in these districts.

Apart from this, there is a possibility of rain in the majority districts of North Bihar with clouds. Its effect starts late at night. The department was issued a yellow alert on rainfall, Saharsa, Madhepura and Purnia between 1:56 am to 4:56 am. On the other hand, in many districts of eastern and central areas of South Bihar, rain and cloud roaring can cause winds at a speed of 30 to 40 km in some places.

The process of rain will continue till October 6

According to the Meteorological Department, the process of rain in the state will continue till October 6. During this time, there is a possibility of rain in all the districts of Bihar. Its effect will be more in North Bihar. If there is rain, there will also be a drop in temperature. According to the Meteorological Department, three to four degrees of mercury may fall in the state since tomorrow (02 October 2025).

On Tuesday, there was some decrease in the temperature of the state. The capital Patna fell by eight degrees to a maximum temperature of 35 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature was 38 degrees Celsius in Motihari. At number two was Farbisganj where the maximum temperature was 37.2 degrees Celsius. The average temperature of the state was close to 35 degrees.

There was no rain in any district during the day on Tuesday. There was very light rain in some places in the morning. According to the report released on Tuesday afternoon, Muzaffarpur received 7.6 mm, East Champaran 3.8 and Sitamarhi 2.8 mm.

The monsoon is currently active in Bihar and on Wednesday (September 10), many districts of the state have predicted strong winds, cloud roaring and thunderstorms. However, even today, there is a strong possibility of more rainfall in North Bihar all districts. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of less rainfall in South Bihar today.

According to the Meteorological Center, today there is more chances of heavy rainfall in North Bihar, while South Bihar will receive relatively low rainfall. With this, in most parts of the state for the next three to four days, the night temperature can be dropped by two to three degrees Celsius.

Today there will be strong rains in these five districts

The Meteorological Department has today issued a yellow alert on heavy rainfall and thunderstorms in five districts- East Champaran, West Champaran, Supaul, Araria and Kishanganj. The effect of rain is being seen in these districts since early Wednesday. At the same time, in Shivhar, Sitamarhi and Madhubani districts, there was a warning of rain and cloud roaring since morning.

In some places in all these areas, there is also a possibility of strong winds at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour. Orange alert was issued in the capital Patna at three o’clock in the late night. The Meteorological Department has clarified that the monsoon will be active in the entire state for the next five days.

Which district of Bihar has the highest rainfall?

On Tuesday, many districts including Patna received rain, due to which the temperature dropped. The maximum rainfall was recorded at 117.4 mm in Kishanganj, while Araria received 95 mm, Khagaria 80.4 mm, Samastipur 78.4 mm and Begusarai received 68.4 mm of rainfall. Apart from this, Purnia recorded 62.2 mm, 52.6 mm in Siwan and 50.8 mm in Fatuha in Patna district.

Floods, Bakhtiyarpur, Pandarak, Daniyavan and Atmalgola also received moderate levels. Aurangabad, Madhepura, Nalanda and Rohtas recorded 30 to 50 mm of rainfall. At the same time, Vaishali, Bhojpur, Jamui, Banka, Madhubani, Supaul, Muzaffarpur, Shivhar and Gaya districts received light to moderate rains.

There is no possibility of any major change in temperature for the next five days

Along with the rain, the temperature also saw a drop. On Tuesday, the capital Patna recorded a temperature of 2.3 degrees to 32.4 degrees Celsius. North Bihar recorded the biggest decline, while the maximum temperature in the state was 34.5 degrees Celsius in Motihari.

In most districts, the temperature was between 31 and 32 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, there is no possibility of any major change in temperature for the next five days.

The fall in rain and temperature has given relief to the people from the heat, but the Meteorological Department has appealed to be cautious in view of lightning and strong winds.

Bihar Weather News 18 June 2025: The southwest monsoon has entered the state since Tuesday (June 17, 2025). It is likely to expand from today (Wednesday). Due to this, there is a possibility of rain in the majority districts of the state including the capital Patna. Today, heavy rain has been warned in eight districts of the eastern part of the state.

Today, the eight districts where heavy rainfall has been warned include West Champaran, Kishanganj, Bhagalpur, Banka, Jamui, Araria, Katihar and Purnia. In all these districts, strong winds can be blowing at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour. Apart from cloud roaring, there is also every possibility of thunderstorms.

On the other hand, East Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan, Saran, Buxar, Bhojpur, Rohtas, Kaimur, Arwal, Aurangabad, Gaya, Jehanabad, Patna, Nalanda, Nawada, Sheikhpura, Begusarai and Lakhisarai are expected to have moderate rainfall today. In these districts, strong winds can be blowing at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour. There is also a possibility of cloud roaring and thunderclap.

Talking about the north central and eastern areas of the state, light or moderate rainfall has also been predicted in Madhubani, Darbhanga, Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Samastipur, Muzaffarpur, Vaishali, Madhepura, Saharsa, Munger and Khagaria. Alert for cloud roaring and thunderstorms has also been issued in these areas.

Where did it cause so much rain in Bihar?

If you look at the data recorded before 12 noon on Tuesday afternoon, Siwan has the highest rainfall with 85.2 mm. Bhagalpur has received medium level rainfall with 53.7 mm, 53.4 in West Champaran, 31.6 in Katihar, 27.8 in Saharsa, 23.02 in Gopalganj, 21.6 in Purnia, 20.4 in Banka, 20.4 in Madhepura, 17.2 in Munger, 17.2 in Nawada and 15.4 mm in Araria.

Bhojpur had a temperature of 40.5 degrees Celsius. Other districts had temperatures below 40 degrees. Talking about Patna, the maximum temperature was 38 degrees. Today (Wednesday) temperature is expected to fall further.

Bihar Elections 2025: A large public meeting was organized through the AIMIM Party against the Waqf Amendment Act in Bahadurganj in Kishanganj district. In the meeting organized, party supremo Asaduddin Owaisi also attacked the RJD-Congress including the central government as well as Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Chandra Babu Naidu and Chirag Paswan.

He said that only the Majlis party can do the work of strengthening Seemanchal. Many party people will come and give wealth, definitely take it, do not leave but vote for the kite. Asaduddin Owaisi said that till yesterday, RJD, Nitish and Modi did not even take the names of Seemanchal, but since you voted for Majlis, after that Seemanchal’s name appeared on his tongue. He said that when there can be a political party of Dalit, forward, Kurmi, Kushwaha in Bihar, can there not be a party of Muslims.

Condemning the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Asaduddin Owaisi said that the attack in Pahalgam has shaken all the countrymen. He said that we have to stand unitedly on this matter. Asaduddin Owaisi said that foreign leaders who are saying that should talk to Pakistan. I have the question from them what you did in Ukraine and Russia.
