Kolkata Knight Riders has become the first franchise which has prepared its own cricket stadium. KKR has prepared its ground in Pomona city of Los Angeles, USA. Kolkata Knight Riders franchise co-owner Shahrukh Khan called it a historic moment. Cricket matches will also be played on this ground in the 2028 Olympics.

It is being told that this ground has been prepared at a cost of about 21 million US dollars. KKR is the first cricket franchise which has prepared its own ground. But at what level is this ground in terms of facilities? Has it even overtaken the world’s largest cricket ground i.e. Narendra Modi Stadium in terms of facilities?

Features of KKR’s new stadium

-This ground in Los Angeles has been fixed as per ICC standards. 8 pitches have been prepared in the field for playing matches and practice.

-A modern dressing room has been prepared for the players and matches can be held here both day and night.

-At present only 5,000 spectators can sit in the ground and watch the match live. It is planned to increase the number of seats to 20,000 in future.

-This ground has been constructed in only 70 days. Matches of 2028 Olympics will be played here.

-An academy and training center has been built for young players. There is a separate arrangement for parking of vehicles.

Specialty of Narendra Modi Stadium

Narendra Modi Stadium is very advanced as compared to KKR ground. It is spread over an area of ​​about 63 acres, in which 1,32,000 people can sit together and watch the match live. There are 4 dressing rooms and 76 corporate boxes were prepared. About 3,000 cars and 10,000 two-wheelers can be parked together here. There is also an Olympic size swimming pool in Narendra Modi Stadium. Narendra Modi Stadium is advanced in almost every aspect compared to KKR ground.
