When opener batsman Finn Allen was on the score of 33, Siraj dropped his simple catch and after that Allen played an explosive inning of 93 runs in 35 balls. While talking about the reasons for the defeat after the match, Shubman Gill blamed poor fielding.

Shubman Gill said, “Looking at the wicket, I felt that the score of 200-210 would be fine. We dropped a lot of catches, which was not easy for the bowlers. The pitch was good and the ball was coming with a halt.” But he attributed the defeat to poor fielding.

Gill said, “Our fielding could have been even better. We dropped three easy catches and after that, according to me, we did not deserve to win. It is good that such a match happened now and not in the qualifiers. We will rest for a few days and recover. We have to go to Ahmedabad and see how the wicket is there.”
