What are the rules regarding rain?

When it rains in a league stage match of IPL, the match is not canceled immediately. According to BCCI rules, one has to wait for the rain to stop, but if too much time is wasted, the overs start getting cut. Efforts are made to organize matches of at least five overs each.

Cut-off time is announced for 5-5 over matches. If five overs each are not played in both the innings by the cut-off time, then the match is declared cancelled. There is no rule of reserve day for league stage matches. Therefore, if the match is cancelled, both the teams are given one point each.

KKR in big trouble

Kolkata Knight Riders team is in big trouble. The two main fast bowlers of the team in the form of Harshit Rana and Akashdeep are out.
