IPL 2025: Delhi Capitals wicket -keeper batsman KL Rahul on Saturday played a match winning 77 runs in the match played against Chennai Super Kings. Due to the absence of Faf du Plessis, KL Rahul got a chance to open and he redeemed it a lot. After the match, he reacted to changing his batting order. Let us tell you that in international cricket, KL Rahul’s batting order has been changing.

Akshar Patel had told during the toss that Faf du Plessis is not fit. He was starting the innings. In his absence, KL Rahul started the innings with Jake Fraser-Makgark. Jake returned to the pavilion without opening an account but KL Rahul stayed till the last over. Rahul hit 3 sixes and 6 fours in the innings of 77 runs played in 51 balls.

Rahul said, “This is just what I am used to. I was personally preparing to play the top order before the IPL 2025 started. I talked to the coach, and he said that he wants me to bat at number 4. Because our openers could not play if I could not play, I was happy to start the innings. I like to put the same thing, because I keep coming up and down in the batting order, it takes a few minutes to make it a few or three balls.

KL Rahul further said, “20-25 runs scored by Abhishek Porel established the game. It actually prepares you. I made some such partnerships with Akshar and Abhishek Porel. Delhi Capitals win and top in the points table

Chasing the Chennai Super Kings, chasing the target, only 158 runs could be scored and Delhi Capitals won the match by 25 runs. With this victory, Delhi has occupied the top in the points table. Delhi Capitals is the only team that has not lost a match in IPL 2025 yet.

KL Rahul did not play the first match of IPL 2025, he has recently become a father after which he returned home. He returned from the second match and scored 15 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the first match. After scoring 77 runs in the second match, his morale will have increased in the upcoming matches.
