Meanwhile, on Sunday (November 23), Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) President Raj Thackeray warned Marathi speaking people. He said that if Marathi speaking people are not cautious then the upcoming Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation elections may prove to be the last elections for them.

While addressing the inaugural ceremony of MNS Konkan Mahotsav here, Raj Thackeray appealed to the party workers to remain alert. In a brief message, the MNS chief said, “Maintain your vigilance, otherwise loss is certain. If you are not alert, the upcoming Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) election will be the last election for Marathi people. And its consequences will be far-reaching.”

He said that once Mumbai is out of our hands, we will not be able to do anything. If Mumbai goes out of our hands, these people will create havoc, Raj Thackeray attacked the ruling parties without naming them. Raj Thackeray had raised the issue of discrepancies in the voter list and had recently participated in a joint march taken out by the opposition.

‘Keep an eye on the voter list’

Raj Thackeray also said that do not be careless, check the voter list, keep an eye on your surroundings. The way politics is going, keep an eye on the voter list. It is important to keep your attention on whether the voter is real or fake. He also said that the upcoming Mumbai Municipal Corporation election will be the last election of the Marathi people. Raj Thackeray said, if we remain careless then it will go out of our hands.

Claim of irregularities in voter list

Local body elections are currently going on in the state, and municipal elections are likely to be held immediately after the City Council and Nagar Panchayat elections. Meanwhile, the opposition is continuously making serious allegations against the Election Commission, claiming that there are irregularities in the voter list.

Cyclone Montha, which is developing in the Bay of Bengal, is a tropical storm, which is likely to turn into a very severe cyclonic storm as it moves towards the coast of Andhra Pradesh. According to the Meteorological Department, this Montha cyclone can make landfall near Kakinada coast of Andhra Pradesh on the evening or night of Tuesday (October 28, 2025).

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a warning saying that the pressure area formed in the Bay of Bengal may turn into a cyclone on the morning of Monday (October 27, 2025) and it is likely to hit the Andhra Pradesh coast near Kakinada between Machilipatnam and Kalingapatnam on the evening or night of Tuesday (October 28, 2025). The Meteorological Department said that this cyclone can also make landfall as a very severe cyclonic storm.

IMD has issued an alert for many states regarding this severe cyclone. The department said that due to this severe cyclone, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain in Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and West Bengal.

Pressure area formed in East-Central Arabian Sea

The pressure area formed in the east-central Arabian Sea is moving in the north-northwest direction and on Saturday (October 25, 2025) it was located about 380 km west-northwest of Panaji in Goa, 400 km south-west of Maharashtra capital Mumbai, 620 km north-west of Mangaluru in Karnataka and 640 km north-northwest of Aminidivi in ​​Lakshadweep.

At the same time, according to the IMD report on Saturday (October 25, 2025), this cyclone is likely to move in an almost north-westerly direction in the next 24 hours and may cause heavy rains in Goa, Konkan, Gujarat and Kerala.

The Meteorological Department said that when this cyclone will hit near Kakinada coast of Andhra Pradesh in the evening or night of October 28, the wind speed will be 90 to 100 kilometers per hour, while the speed of gusts can reach up to 110 kilometers per hour.

In the maritime phase of exercise, flying operations will be conducted including career strike group (CSG), anti-sarfase and anti-sabmerine drills of the two countries. The aircraft carriers of the two countries, Destroer, Frigette, submarines and fighter jets will participate in these drills.

England Prime Minister Kir Stmper is visiting India on 8-9 October. During this time, the stormer will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This tour will strengthen bilateral relations and strategic partnership between India and England.

According to the Indian Navy, the Konkan exercise is a re-confirmation of the shared commitment to ensure the exercise, safe, open and independent sea and will present an example of a comprehensive strategic partnership under India-UK Vision 2035. According to the Navy, exercise will prove to be a platform for both countries to strengthen strategic relations and provide regional maritime stability along with increasing inter-operation.

After the Konkan exercise, HMS Wales will perform a one -day exercise on the west coast with the Indian Air Force on 14 October. On the other hand, it is reported that India’s indigenous Stealth Frigate (Warship) INS Sahyadri has reached Malaysia for operationally deployment in South China C and Pacific Ocean.
