Maharashtra covid-19 case: Corona virus is growing rapidly across the country. On Sunday (June 1) in Maharashtra, 65 new cases of Kovid-19 were reported, due to which the total number of infected in the state has increased to 814 since January 1 this year.

According to the Health Department, in these 65 cases, 31 have been reported from Pune, 22 from Mumbai, 9 from Thane, 2 from Kolhapur and 1 from Nagpur. At this time there are a total of 506 active cases in the state, while 300 patients have recovered and recovered.

8 people died due to Corona- Health Department
According to the statement issued by the Health Department, so far this year, a total of 8 people have died of Kovid-19, out of which 7 were already other serious diseases. One of the dead had hypocalcemic seizures and nephrotic syndrome, the second had cancer, third seizures with a stroke, while another was pneumonia (LRTI) with diabetic ketooseidosis.

Apart from this, one person was suffering from interstitial lung disease, another had diabetes since 2014 and had a stroke, while the seventh had heart disease with serious Ards. The eighth deceased was a 47 -year -old woman, who had a complaint of fever and difficulty in breathing.

463 cases came up in Mumbai this year
Talking about Mumbai, a total of 463 cases of Kovid-19 have been reported in the metropolis since January 1. Of these, one case each in January and February, four in April and the highest number of 457 cases were registered in May. No case was registered in the city in March. It is clear from these figures that the infection in Mumbai caught up in the month of May.

A total of 11,501 Kovid-19 tests have been conducted in 2025 across the state so far, out of which 814 reports have been found positive. The Health Department has informed that in all infected patients, symptoms are of common nature and regular treatment is being provided to them. At present, the state government is monitoring the situation and people are being appealed to take precautions.

Covid Patient Symptoms: The cases of Corona virus have started increasing once again in the country. According to the Ministry of Health, the number of active cases in the country has exceeded 1200. In Kerala, Maharashtra and Delhi, there is a rapid increase in matters. In view of this, all the states have been instructed to increase the surveillance.

The covid isolation ward has been built at Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital in Delhi. Recently, 4 patients were admitted here, but after the report of two patients, only two patients are admitted. The condition of both patients is currently stable. He was admitted to the hospital after high fever and shortness of breathing four days ago.

What did the patient’s family say?

Anuj Dwivedi, son of a patient admitted to RML Hospital, said that his mother had an infection in the first kidney. After this, suddenly there was trouble in breathing and health deteriorated.

Anuj said, “At first we took him to a private hospital, but when the condition deteriorated, he was referred to RML Hospital. There were first 4 patients in Kovid ward, now there are only two. My mother’s report has been continuously positive for the last three days, so he is still admitted. However, he is still well.

She told that her mother had taken both the vaccines of Kovid and she did not get infected in both the previous waves.

What did Nodal Officer Dr. Pawan Kumar say?

Dr. Pawan Kumar, the nodal officer of Kovid Ward at RML Hospital, said that both the patients are stable and there is no need to panic.

He said, “The situation is not serious at the moment but caution is necessary. People should avoid congestion and mask must be applied.”

According to Dr. Pawan, Kovid’s new variant is not more dangerous than before. Its symptoms are usually cough and fever. How fast it is spreading, nothing can be said to be clear yet.

ICU is not required

He said that this time patients are not needing oxygen, ventilator or ICU as compared to the first and second wave.

Regarding the preparations for the hospital, he told that the oxygen plant is already present, the number of staff and beds is sufficient. If needed, the number of beds can be increased from 100 to 400 in a day.

A separate isolation center has been created for Kovid. At present, 9 beds have been kept for Kovid patients in the hospital. All necessary equipment and manpower are also present. The duty of doctors is now being imposed in Kovid ward as well as other wards.

Although the cases of Corona have started growing again, the situation is under control. The government and hospital administration are completely cautious. People are being appealed to take precautions, wear masks and avoid congestion.

Relief material sent by India included pulse oximeter, swab with VTM, sample bag for self, PPE kit (surgical mask, gloves, N-95 masks, shoe covers, hair cap) and emergency Kovid-19 drug supply.
