Voting will be held in two phases on 294 seats in the West Bengal Assembly elections. The first phase will be held on 23rd April and the second phase will be held on 29th April. This election has become a topic of discussion for an interesting reason. Actually, three candidates with the same name have contested the Asansol North seat.

Three candidates each named ‘Krishnendu’ are contesting from Asansol North seat. In such a situation, there is discussion about spreading confusion among voters while voting. This issue dominated the press conference held at the BJP district office located in Shitala area on Tuesday.

During the scrutiny of nomination papers, when the name ‘Krishnendu’ suddenly started being called in the Asansol SDM office, first the name of Krishnendu Mukhopadhyay, then Krishnendu Chatterjee and finally BJP candidate Krishnendu Mukherjee came up. Since then it started being discussed that this was done to confuse the voters.

However, such a situation has not happened for the first time in politics, in which many candidates with the same name are contesting from one seat.
