Actor and film critic Kamal Rashid Khan alias KRK was recently arrested by Oshiwara police in connection with the firing. Now the news is that the Andheri Metropolitan Magistrate Court has granted bail to the actor in this case. In lieu of this bail, Kamal R Khan will have to pay a fine of Rs 25 thousand. KRK got this bail on January 30.

Even before this, on January 28, KRK’s bail plea was rejected in the court. Being a high profile case, Mumbai Police is engaged in in-depth investigation of this case. After the actor’s police remand ended, he was to be sent to judicial custody. Regarding the matter, the police said that during interrogation, KRK had confessed that the firing was done from his gun. However, KRK and his lawyer rejected this outright.

According to reports, the incident took place on January 18, in which two bullets were fired at a residential building in Oshiwara, Andheri. Two bullets were recovered from Nalanda Society. One from the second floor and the other from the fourth floor. One flat belongs to the writer-director, and the other to a model.

Police suggested the case with the help of forensic team
As soon as information about the incident was received, a team of 18 policemen from Oshiwara police station under the leadership of Sanjay Chavan, along with several crime branch teams, was investigating the case. Initially the police could not find any clue as nothing was found in the CCTV footage. However, with the help of the forensic team, the police later confirmed that the bullets might have been fired from Kamal R Khan’s bungalow. Police sources said the paperwork is underway and the actor’s formal arrest could take place by the morning.

Who is Kamal R Khan?
Kamal R Khan (KRK) is an Indian film personality, actor, producer, writer and internet commentator, known for his controversial statements in Bollywood and on social media. Born on January 1, 1975 in Deoband, Uttar Pradesh, KRK gained popularity after producing, writing and acting in the 2008 film ‘Deshdrohi’.

KRK appeared in Bigg Boss Season 3 (2009), which brought him further fame, and later played a supporting role in ‘Ek Villain’ (2014).
