Kovidar tree is considered very auspicious in Hindu religion and scriptures. It is believed that this special tree was created by sage Kashyap by mixing Mandar and Parijat. According to the scriptures and object, planting the Kovidar tree in the east direction is considered auspicious. In such a situation, planting trees in the east is considered a symbol of positivity, happiness, prosperity and good fortune. In mythological texts, the east direction is of Sun God.

If for some reason you are not able to plant this plant in the east direction, then you can also plant it in the north direction. It is considered to be the direction of Lord Kuber. According to mythology, the royal symbol of Ayodhya in Treta Yuga was also the Kovidar tree. Recently, the saffron flag that has been hoisted on the peak of Ram temple in Ayodhya has the symbol of Om and Surya as well as the picture of Kovidar tree inscribed on it.
