Security forces have foiled an infiltration attempt in Keran sector of Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir. In this action which took place today i.e. Saturday (8 November), 2 terrorists were killed. White Chinar Corps of the Army gave information in a post on Twitter saying that Operation Pimple was started after receiving intelligence information on Friday. Two terrorists who were trying to infiltrate were surrounded and killed.

Chinar Corps said that after killing 2 terrorists in the operation, a search operation is being conducted by the security forces in the area. On Friday, based on specific intelligence received from agencies, a joint operation was launched in Keran sector of Kupwara in connection with an infiltration attempt.

There was an encounter in Kishtwar also
The soldiers issued a challenge as soon as they saw suspicious activities, after which the terrorists started firing indiscriminately. Chinar Corps said that the army also retaliated, in which the terrorists were trapped. Let us tell you that earlier on 5th November also there was an encounter between security forces and terrorists in Chhattru area of ​​Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir.

According to officials, the encounter started when Jammu and Kashmir Police, with the help of the Indian Army, received specific intelligence about the presence of terrorists. On this basis, a joint operation was conducted in Chattaru area. This coordinated search operation began early in the morning, following which there was firing on the security forces and retaliatory firing.

What did the White Knight Corps say?
In a post on Twitter, White Knight Corps said that an intelligence operation was conducted in the morning under Operation Chhattru. White Knight Corps personnel, along with Jammu and Kashmir Police, surrounded the terrorists in Chhattru area. The operation is ongoing. Infiltration and activities of terrorists have started increasing again in Jammu and Kashmir.

Encounter continues between security forces and terrorists on the Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir. So far two terrorists have been killed in this operation. Hideout of terrorists exposed

During the joint operation, the Army and Police had exposed a hideout of terrorists in Bridthor forests of Warsan area. During the operation, security forces recovered two AK series rifles, four rocket launchers, a large cache of ammunition and other war material. According to officials, this operation was started on the basis of intelligence received by the Chinar Corps of the Indian Army based in Srinagar. The search operation is still going on so that other terrorists hiding in the area can be found.

It is noteworthy that earlier there had also been an encounter between the army and terrorists in Guddar forest of Kulgam district. In that operation, two terrorists were killed, while two soldiers were martyred. One of the killed terrorists was identified as Aamir Ahmed Dar, a resident of Shopian, who was associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba and was active since September 2023. He was included in the list of 14 wanted terrorists released after the Pahalgam attack.

Dr. Rakesh Minhas became the new DC of Jammu

Dr. Rakesh Minhas has been given the responsibility of the new deputy commissioner of Jammu. Minhas is a 2016 batch IAS officer. Earlier, he was handling the responsibility as DC of Kathua, but now he has been transferred and appointed as Jammu DC.

Ayushi Sudan’s responsibility of Samba DC

IAS officer Ayushi Sudan has also been transferred. He has now been given the responsibility of Deputy Commissioner of Samba. Sudan is a 2017 batch IAS officer. Earlier she was handling responsibility as Kupwara DC.

Indu Kanwal Bandipora’s new DC

IAS officer Indu Kanwal has been appointed as Deputy Commissioner of Bandipora. Earlier, he was handling the responsibility of Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board. Now by transferring them, the responsibility of DC of Bandipora has been given.

Ashok Kumar Sharma gets the responsibility of Poonch’s new DC

IAS officer Ashok Kumar Sharma has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Poonch. Earlier, he was working as a special secretary of the Department of Labor and Employment, but now he has got the new responsibility of Poonch DC.
