Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has released the second lottery list for Class 1 admission for the academic session 2026-27 on April 17. Now parents can check their child’s admission status online sitting at home. For this only registration number will be required. If you have applied for your child then the wait is now over. You can easily find out whether your child has been selected or is in the waiting list by visiting the official websites of KVS kvsangathan.nic.in and admission.kvs.gov.in. For Assam, Kerala and Puducherry, these results were released on April 10 only, because the date was changed due to the general elections there.

As soon as you login to the website, the status of the child will be clearly visible. If the status says “Selected” then it means that your child is in the main list and now you have to go to school on time and submit the necessary documents. If “Waiting List” is written then there is no need to panic. This means that your child is in the queue and if the selected student does not submit the documents on time then the seat will be given to the waitlisted children. The number given after the lottery also tells where your child is.

It is important to submit documents on time

It is very important for the parents of the selected students to reach the school on time and submit all the necessary documents. If the documents are not complete or not submitted on time, the seat may be canceled and this opportunity will be given to the student on the waiting list. The results of Balvatika admission have already been released and children whose names are in the list will have to confirm their admission by visiting their school.

How is the admission process of class 1

It is mandatory to carry some important documents for admission to Balvatika and Class 1. These include birth certificate, passport size photograph, EWS or BPL certificate (if applicable), service certificate of working parents, caste certificate for reserved category and income certificate for RTE category. Without these documents the admission process will not be completed.

Admission to Class 1 in KVS is done through a completely computerized lottery system so that transparency is maintained and everyone gets equal opportunity. The applications are divided into different categories like RTE category, service priority and reserved category. In each category, names are randomly selected by computer and then the selection list and waiting list are released. If seats remain vacant then the next admission list is released. The third provisional list can be released on April 21.

Admission process from class 2 to 12

Admissions from Class 2 to Class 12 are done offline and completely depend on the availability of seats. The list for these classes is released separately. Whereas admission to class 11 will start after the declaration of CBSE class 10 results.
